I have ordered these tags for years. I even buy the rubber ring to go around the tags. After a couple of months the lettering starts to wear and peel away. I have two dogs right now that need new tags because you can’t read their info anymore. And your prices went up to almost 20 dollars for a tag??!!! I have bought them as low as 10-12 dollars at Petsmart and petco. Just ordered some new ones for the rescues here one last time to see if they last. Won’t be buying again.

Thank you for your feedback! The price increase is simply because we upgraded our tags in Feb. 2020 to be more durable and address the issues you spoke about at the beginning of your review. There are no more issues with the lettering "peeling" or wearing away. Our new upgraded tags are more durable. They are unlike any other tag in the world and will last many many years. While the tags did go up in price due to better materials and construction, we also started offering free shipping at the same time to offset this for our customers. The old price was $12.99 + $3.98 shipping charge ($16.97). Our new tags are $19 with free shipping. So, for a little over $2 you get a much better tag that solves the issues you were concerned about. Plus it is guaranteed for the life of your pet. We will replace it without any questions. Also, please keep in mind that, in the middle of a pandemic, everyone around the world is seeing issues with inflation and supply chain issues. Our costs have risen over 60% in the last year alone yet we have kept our price at $19 during this entire time. Our product is completely made in the USA and we have not switched to overseas suppliers to save money because we believe in having our product made here and we also believe that our awesome employees deserve fair pay and a living wage for the great work that they do. We realize their are a lot of options for cheaper pet ID tags. Yes, you can buy a cheaper tag at a big chain for $10 - $12. It doesn't have a lifetime guarantee like we do. It doesn't offer the hundreds of design options and flexibility that we do. It wont be full color. Shallow engraving means that the lettering can wear down quickly which can make it difficult to read the important information that is so critical to getting you pet home quickly if they get lost. For a few dollars more you can get a tag with all those advantages that will be replaced for the life of your pet if needed. We hope you like the newer upgraded tags you ordered! We appreciate your concerns and I hope I have addressed them in a manner that makes sense.

It took 9 weeks to get my order despitebeing told by an employee it would only take about 6-7 days. I deleted my previous review now that i can give a full proper review of the product and not just a review of the two staff members i have spoken to about it being so late. I will mention these interactions again at the end of this review. First, It looks and feels cheap and i probably wouldn't have ordered it if i had the chance to see one in person first. Although the ink they used is deep enough that despite its look you dont need to worry about it getting scratched up and becoming unreadable, which i was very worried about and tested on the duplicate I ordered along side the one meant for my cat. Second, If you expect decent delivery times order somewhere else, there shipping is the worst I have ever encountered in 6 years of online shopping. Unreliable shipping dates, no tracking number, and when questioned about this fairly sketchy shipping process in review you are met with hostility and excuses. Finally, dealing with the staff had its ups and downs. Like i mentioned before this is not my first review. My first review was simply saying that my order was more than a few days late (nearly a month at that time) and the fact that i also didn't get a tracking number made me uncomfortable, I'm sure anyone who does online shopping will agree no tracking is a red flag for potential scams. Especially since no one I spoke to before had heard of the company before and i found out about it through one of those sketchy facebook ads. That review was met with an extremely hostile response about how dare I question the authenticity of a company that no one else I knew ever heard and took my money with no way of me being able to know if my order ever really got shipped out. She also told me that there shipping only takes 6-7 days and would never take longer than that unless usps lost it. Which I thought was odd since I'm in Canada and two weeks is the average time for international shipping. A week later i updated my review again saying that it still hasn't shown up and I'm becoming more uncomfortable with this company. Again met with hostility. It was around here I messaged the company directly through their facebook page and a very nice employee politely asked I wait a few days and if nothing arrives they would send new tags. When it still never arrived the nice employee gave me a refund in compensation for my order not showing up which I am very greatful for because now that the tags have finally arrived there is no way I would have paid so much for this product. Also on top of everything the cat it was meant for doesn't like it and after showing it to my other cat she ended up hissing and raising her fur at it, which probably isn't a good sign. Will probably just end up using it on their carrier since they definitely don't want to wear it.

The tag I ordered appeared to be washed out and faded. The lettering on the back was crooked also. I emailed customer service twice and never got a response. I didn’t give it 1 star because when I called customer service they did credit my account.

I purchased the dog tag clip because it was supposed to be extremely durable. After only a day of wear I found it in my kitchen floor in pieces. It had broken in two spots. Not at all durable as stated. Delivery was timely but product left much to be desired, especially for the description and price.

It sounds like you may have gotten a defective item that was not manufactured properly. We would be happy to send you a replacement clip. We are sorry you were not happy with the text size printed on your tag. We try to print the text as legibly as possible to ensure your pet's chances of a safe return if they are lost. The easier your information is to read the quicker you can be contacted. If you are unhappy with the text size on your tag all you have to do is contact us and let us know. We will be happy to make the text smaller and send you a new tag free of charge. We always want our customers to be happy and satisfied and we never just expect you to settle for your tag if you have an issue. We would hate to lose your business over a simple thing to fix.

the quality of the dog tag was poor. looking at the photo on the website i was expecting it to be the same, however the image quality on the dog tag looked like it was faded/not fully colored. i would not order another one.

We apologize for the issue you are having with your tag. We have never seen one of our tags "discolor" or fade so we would be very interested in finding out more information from you about the issue. Typically you can clean the tag with soap and water to get rid of any dirt or debris. Please remember too that every tag we sell is guaranteed for the life of your pet. If you have any issue all you have to do is call or email us and we will get you a brand new tag out in the mail immediately, free of charge.
