I have tried to work with you guys my co-buyer passed away and you are trying to keep our down payment for 45 days after move out date which I need to move I am disabled and do not have the funds to move out. I cannot qualify with just my income so you said you are terminating the lease since the co-buyer is no longer living. I have been asking for just the down payment to move and you can take the current rent due, past utilities if any and damages if any out of the home savings we accumulated for the year living here. The $7300 down payment was given to you upfront to hold when we moved in it should not take 45 days for you to return it. I understand the 45 days for the balance return out of the home savings fund. I cannot move or give you a date because I do not have the money to move but will if you give me back the down payment which you have included in the equity of the home which is technically not equity the equity is the home savings accrued down payment is the down payment I’m just trying to resolve things

DO NOT DO IT
DO NOT DO THIS WITH YOUR MONEY! They are Crooks as others have stated…I have been playing email tag with a person from payments, telling me for almost a month that my money is coming! They owe me $10,000. I sent this yesterday to said person “I am not understanding why my money is so delayed. In your first email you said on 6/18/22 -
“Once you respond with the above information in its entirety the information will be forwarded to our accounting department. Payouts can range from 7 to 10 business days.” I responded that day and on 6/21/22 you informed me that this was sent to accounting! As we both know, I’ve since contacted you numerous times and still nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your generic “receipt” which tells me nothing….no date sent, no acct, nothing just my info, which I’m quite aware! IT IS NOW JULY 11, 2022….MORE THAN 7 - 10 DAYS PAYOUT AND IM SURE WELL PAST THE 45 DAYS BY “MY CONTRACT!” What you say is 45 days and my not receiving my money in 45 days, I guess a court is going to decide….If I do not have my money by tomorrow, I will be forced to get an attorney! And don’t tell me it’s my bank! ITS NOT! It’s Divvy Homes! This is not your money! Someone has been in that house for almost a month and a half!” NO RESPONSE…..horrible business! Stay away….this probably only works if you buy once you’re trapped!

I just wanted to leave a review in…
I just wanted to leave a review in saying. I had a great experience until came time to close. There’s a ton of miscommunication and unorganized going on. I at first loved this company and what they did for people like myself who experience a hard time trying to make buying a house a dream come true. I unfortunately, the night before closing they sent a email saying I owed another $500 after paying everything they asked me to pay. For folks like me that live on a budget and have children it’s hard now a days. If they wouldn’t brought to my attention way before the day before closing it would have been okay. But to spring it on someone with a family and things already in place to move into our new home after everything you think is squared away, is completely unfair and unprofessional. Now they said they can push back closing but thats unfortunate. I didn’t have the time to do that my family and the house I live I have to be out. Grateful I found a way to pay this, I felt bad I was so upset and angry to the point I was sobbing on the phone to the lady like a baby (embarrassing I couldn’t help my emotions) ) due the fact scared to death my family wouldn’t have a home due to their mistake . I truly hope they fix this. And really can help people as advertised that have similar situations as myself . Prayers to everyone on this site who are going through similar situations, hope you all get a home you love and deserve and divvy can change their customer service and step up their organization skills, so folks don’t feel this way because it’s a horrible feeling to feel. God bless

They are CROOKS
They are CROOKS. I rented a home from them. Invested in over $15k to move in. Decided to not move forward with a lease. Provided a 30 day notice per the move-out team and business operations associate. They advised me the only penalty was 2% of the saved equity. My equity was $8k. Was told by again the business operations team and move-out team that I will receive return within 45 days of move out minus 2%. It’s been 2 entire months. I sent over 15 emails, no response at all from Divvy. Are they still even in business? They have not answered my calls nor emails. I emailed every email in the company. They finally responded to BBB after I issued and filed a complaint saying “she is not due a return she ended the lease”. That is not a professional response, nor was this communicated to me. I ended the lease by writing a 30 day notice per “Mr L.” in the Business Operations department along with, “Mr. O” in the move-outs team. And was guaranteed a return from the equity , again minus the 2%. You all cannot just keep my money and not communicate with me at all. I worked hard for that. If I knew you all were crooks I would of just purchased the home at the end of 3 years and then sold it. But I was reassured I could just give a 30 day notice and receive my saved equity within 45 days. This is not fair and I advise all consumers and potential buyers to be aware they are CROOKS. Money hungry investors. I knew it was too good to be true. Karma … oh karma. Divvy Homes should be called “Give me your money and you won’t hear from us after that”. Please be aware. I would hate for any family to have to go through what me and my family are going through with Divvy Homes. We were robbed, by corporate thieves!

DON'T use this company
DON'T use this company, wouldn't purchase a dog house through them!!!! This is the worst home purchase based company on the planet!!!! Is nothing but a steady runaround and rejection after rejection. It seems like they want only high end homes hoping the buyer can't afford them and they can resell them at a higher profit!!!! Where do I start! first the company never contacts you with answers to questions, and if they do the answer is very vague and seems like a computer response. You never get a person, just a leave message and nothing. They right from the start asking for money. Give me a 50$ set up fee, don't disclose any of the "Requirements" (and there are a lot of them, many quite outlandish!!!), and they never really do give you specifics on them in intirity. On several homes I asked for "specifics" to why they rejected the home, and got answers a stranger could have come up with. Then before they can do any inquiries they want an additional 500$ deposit prior to doing much of anything. They indicate the prefer a bank transfer. DON'T DO IT. Getting refund is near impossible. With Credit Card you can file fraud complaint, which we did. Then you submit house after house and they find all kinds of reasons to reject it. We had one home that passed the ridiculous requirements only to have the Divvy team sabotage the purchase with a "we can withdraw the offer to buy right up to closing". What seller would agree to such an open-ended way to cancel! Only a very stupid or desperate one, which is what I think they pray upon. From day one, its a battle to do anything with Divvy. It leaves not only the seller but buyer in a state of limbo. VERY bad business practices. You send requests for why they rejected the home and you get, it didn't meet requirements. They send you a link that gives you nothing. Just the home didn't meet the "requirements over and over again. In closing I spoke to three local agents that also have very bad dealings with Divvy, and refused to work with them. So, this in not a one off. Should have read the reviews, google has tons of them, all with same issues. The BBB site has over 130 very damaging reviews. Wish i would have seem them first. If you're smart run don't walk away. Hope this prevents many from falling into the snake pit Divvy is!

WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!
WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!! If you are reading this and considering using Divvy... for your own good please RECONSIDER!!!! I know your desperate to get into a new house. I know this because I was. I read the bad reviews but still had hope because I was extremely desperate. What I didn't understand is this company is preying off of the hopes and dreams of first time home buyers. If you think this company cares about helping you get a home, your wrong. This company cares about making money. That's it. They are going to make money off of you paying extremely high rent, and then they are going to make even more money if you end up being able to actually buy the house. That's a big if because they don't save enough $ each month for your deposit. If you don't buy the house from them within a year not only does your rent go up but your buyback price goes up. However when your rent goes up do they save more for your down payment each month? Nope. That extra money your now paying each month just goes in their pocket. They don't want you to buy the house because they can turn around and sell it for even more money. Again, this company exist to make money, NOT to help you get into a home. So here's the bottom line, your going to pay an exorbitant amount for rent each month, yet they fight you tooth and nail if you need any maintenance done and they will make even more money off of you if you try to buy the house from them. My offer for my home was $315,000 but I had to pay $332,000 and had to pay $3155 for rent. As a first time home buyer you will be better off just saving the money on your own. I barely managed to get my house out from under Divvy's greedy thumb and if I could do it all over again I would NEVER use Divvy. I wasted thousands of dollars. Their phone system is absolute garbage, their customer service is trash and their ethics is non existent. Divvy you should be ashamed of yourself for treating people this way.

They are a scam
They are a scam. They lie about how much you make and make you believe they will help you buy a home but really they don't do anything they say they do.
