I provided 13 months of paychecks, my 10-99s, and access to my bank accounts. I provided far more than was asked even after the 3rd request for “additional documentation”, yet they still said they needed more even though they already had it all. I am not sure if this company is legitimate or not, so I would advise that you exercise caution if you want to try to use this company. I am going to be watching all my accounts and credit reports for the next year or two just in case as I feel like they are fraudulent. Best of luck to anyone who has been scammed by them.

Hi, we're sorry to hear you haven't received your refund. We have attempted to send your refund to the address provided on two separate occasions, as well as attempted to issue it via bank deposit. However, upon a review of Divvy records, we discovered that you previously provided incorrect payment information, which resulted in this delay. It looks like our team was recently able to connect with you and obtain an updated mailing address, and a third check was issued on February 21, 2023. In the event there are any further questions, please feel free to reach out to us directly at [email protected].

Hello, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please note that our rental payment policies are disclosed to our clients before they finalize their decision to rent a property. We provide a clear outline of the rent payments for a period of three years, and only proceed with the client's approval.
If you have any concerns or questions regarding your monthly payments, our operations team is always available to provide assistance.

DIVVY Homes is the WORST
DIVVY Homes is the WORST, and an UNSAFE experience that I have dealt with. The rental permit wasn't addressed for months. The electrical burning smell was NOT addressed; all with phone and EMAIL notifications, which were acknowledged, but no intervention occurred. DIVVY employees are the poorest communicators in ANY professional organization that I have EVER dealt with. Their assurances are empty promises.

Ooof- where to begin?
Ooof- where to begin?
I truly rarely write negative reviews for companies, I have a high tolerance for mistakes and tend to give the benefit of the doubt. But our experience with Divvy has been just awful from start to finish.
I am a top producing Realtor in a major metro area. My friend from college called up- his family is living in a Divvy home and they were approved to move to another home within the program.
I set to work helping them find a new home. Divvy made the process literally an IMPOSSIBLE task. With the "shifting market" I don't think they WANT to buy any homes. Their criteria standards were completely unreasonable, they would disqualify every possibility after my clients got excited about it, because of something ridiculous, and not even entertain the possibility of fixing it or having sellers address it.
They want only the "best quality homes", yet had us working with a very low budget. It was totally confusing trying to figure out which homes actually worked with their "calculator". Then.. they would only offer 10-20% below asking on any home you might miraculously manage to find. This is not something that works here- we are still experiencing a severe inventory shortage, seeing multiple offers at times, and homes are receiving a solid 94% of asking across the board.
Divvy's communication was so bad to the point of being comical...no one had ANY idea what anyone else was doing or telling us. None of the information matched. You never spoke to the same person twice, and got to start over anew with each person who had no idea of the history.
We finally got down to our LAST 2 options for homes in the area. I spent hours collecting information to frontload to Divvy, so that we knew BEFORE we went to see them whether they would qualify for criteria an whether they met the calculator budget numbers.
Of course.. my clients got their heart set on one, only to find out after seeing them that they didn't even come close to qualifying for the needed amount to make an offer.
I could go on.. and on.. and ON. We politely and clearly expressed our issues at every step of the process, and no one took any meaningful action to address any of it.
My poor clients are so disheartened that they are leaving Divvy and plan to lease for a while and shore up their finances to go the conventional qualifying route, even though they are forfeiting money to do so.
I really wanted Divvy to be a useful tool that I could offer to clients going forward. However, I am now bent on making sure that EVERYONE in the Real estate sphere knows to stay far, far away from this utter hot mess of a company.

Hi, thank you for your candid review, and we apologize that Divvy Homes didn’t end up being the right choice for your clients at this time.
Here at Divvy Homes, we aim to make home ownership more accessible, especially for those who may be looking for an alternative to a traditional mortgage. While we would love for the Divvy program to work for everyone, please be aware that all of our applicants must meet our minimum credit requirements to be approved, and the homes for consideration need to meet our minimum purchasing requirements.
For instance, if an applicant has lower credit, this may affect the budget they are eligible for through our underwriting standards; or a home that has major structural issues may impact our ability to make an offer.
We’re here if you ever want guidance on our program or offering, and we appreciate you giving us a try. For more information, we encourage you to review our Help Center at https://help.divvyhomes.com/
