The advice I'll give to anyone who is about to shack up with divvy; hire your own house inspector and ignore divvy's home inspection report. Their report does not look at everything (agent lied about this over and over). Get your own inspector, It'll save you when it's time to get a mortgage as divvy has it in their contract they are not responsible for corrections required by the mortgage holder. Also, where you live will determine what work orders they will do. Otherwise, good luck, and do not leave your best interests in their hands, they don't care about your home.

I do not recommend this program. I tried to go through them and got denied. I previously owned a home and sold it, trying to reestablish my credit so I tried this program. The criteria to be accepted is unrealistic. They say they want to help but they are not helpful. I recommend the program NACA.

Divvy is just another landlord and rent prices are nearly double the market rate. The approved purchase amounts are much lower than mortgage companies. It's cheaper to rent a place from a property management company until you're approved by a traditional lender. If the pricing is automated, the algorithm is off. The good part is they do a soft credit inquiry for pre-approval. Make sure you shop around and remember that you are a renter first when it comes to this company.
