I was recently charged for a 2nd year…
I was recently charged for a 2nd year subscription of a magazine that was never received after contacting several times they were unable to provide service and will only refund my latest charges. Do no subscribe. I feel i was scammed

Lauren, we're sorry. Being charged for a second year of a magazine that never arrived is the opposite of what you paid us for, and we're sorry we never answered you here. If you're still owed money for issues that never came, email [email protected] and we'll look at it again.

It’s been 4 months since I paid for my…
It’s been 4 months since I paid for my subscription renewal and the renewal is still not showing up. I will never use DiscountMags again.

Our apologies. You are correct as we have been having issues with that publisher fulfilling magazines in a timely manner. Our Customer Service manager will reach out to you and ensure you're taken care of or provide you with a full refund if you are not satisfied.

Really bad
Really bad. Added to subscription to New Yorker in December and have not received anything since then. Confirmation email said "Your current subscription will be extended**:Between 02/18/2021 and 03/18/2021" and "Please allow 4-6 weeks for the renewal to be tacked on to the account." It's almost May. Excuses when we email. The COVID response is getting really old--how exactly does COVID screw up making some changes on a computer so badly? UPDATE: About 2 1/2 weeks after this review the magazine began coming again.

You are absolutely right. Having to wait this long is a poor experience for anyone and we apologize it's taking this long and are not proud of the situation. I see that you ordered the same magazine from us in 2018 and assume you had no issues then. Unfortunately, the magazine industry is one of the many industries that was hit hard by the pandemic and many publishers as well as the U.S Postal Service are way behind. We know it's not what you want to hear and that it's an "excuse" but it is the current reality we're all living in. It is always our desire to go above and beyond for our customers so if at any point you change your mind, please reach out and we'll take care of you. We can however tell you that it will probably take as long regardless of where you order (even the publisher). Ultimately it is your decision but it is our recommendation to wait it out as the world slowly goes back to "normal." I will have our Customer Service manager call you on Monday to discuss and provide you with options.

No response from my 2 e-mails
I ordered 3 magazines. 4 months later I get an e-mail saying 2 of them are digital. It never said that when I ordered. I then wrote and asked for a refund for the 2. I have sent 2 e-mails with no response. I am very dissatisfied with this company and will never purchase anything again.

Digital magazines indicated on the product landing page with "(Digital)" in the title, the tablet image around the cover, on the order confirmation page, and in the order confirmation email. We indicate a digital status on every touch point a customer would encounter. Despite that, we canceled and refunded your order per your request as it is within our standard refund policy to do so. We also responded to your email.

I HAVE NEVER DONE BUSINESS WITH THIS…
I HAVE NEVER DONE BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY,YET I WAS BILLED ON MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT ALMOST $40.00 FOR A 2 YEAR RENEWAL. FOR A MAGAZINE THAT I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED,THEY STATE I HAVE AN AUTOMATIC RENEWAL ON THE MAGAZINE AND HAVE BEEN RECEIVING IT SINCE 2017. MESSAGES ARE ANSWERES BUT CREDIT IS REFUSED AS I HAVE NO PROOF I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE MAGAZINE !!! FIGURE THAT ONE OUT I FEEL I HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS THAN TO GO TO THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL.

We cannot bill a Paypal account unless you login with your email and password and authorize it yourself. We also cannot and do not auto-renew unless you opt-in, and then authorize subscription payment via Paypal. Is it possible someone else in your family used your Paypal account? Regardless, as per your request, we already canceled the order and provided you with a refund.

I have received nothing
Subscribed 03/18 for 1 year (8 issues). First issue should be delivered before 13/06/18, I waited till ~07/18 and contacted support. They responded that they will prolong subscription for 4 issues and next I issue I will get before 06/08/18. Today 13/8/18 and I still got nothing. Looks like usual scam. Beware.

Eugene - did you ever get your subscription and did they tack on the 4 issues? If not, please let us know and we'll take care of you. We assure you we're not a scam and delays and issues with subscriptions are an unfortunate byproduct of our industry since we work with so many publishers and there's no tracking information on subscriptions.

I purchased 4 subscriptions from DiscountMags.com because they were great deals. You know what your mother always says: if it looks like a duck... Long story short, I ordered the magazines and was looking forward to having a steady stream of reading material - but they tell you it may take some months for the subscriptions to start, you have kids running around and life happens; you forget. Ultimately, 3 of the subscriptions were extremely erratic and for the last subscription, I literally received 1 issue of a 2 year subscription that should still be active. When I contacted DiscountMags, they required that I tell them exactly what issue was last received. We are recyclers who get rid of read magazines - how the heck should I know? Without that information, they refused to help me. For a subscription I purchased through 2019. That should still be good. Ridiculous! This company is a scam with horrible policies. I would avoid them like the plague. I'll pay the extra $20 in the future to get a subscription directly from the magazines to avoid this aggravation. I advise you all to, as well.

We're sorry. Asking you to remember exactly which issue last arrived made getting help harder, not easier, and one issue of a two-year subscription isn't what you paid for. If you're still owed issues, email [email protected] and we'll make it right.
