They have made it almost impossible to cancel a discountlock and very challenging to contact them. If you try contacting them you (even if you are logged in) have to solve a very difficult CAPTCHA. I have never had to solve a CAPTCHA if I am logged in. This is a tarball company.

Ben - we have replied to your email and left you a voicemail but what you're experiencing seems to be an issue with our security provider. CAPTCHA is not typically shown for most users, unless the security system run by Google, deems a session as suspicious. This may be happening because you're on a shared or public IP address. It's there to prevent hackers and bots from accessing our system. That said, we're looking into your specific issue and seeing if we can find a solution to prevent this for you. We're very sorry for the frustration and have canceled DiscountLock on the orders you requested in your email.

I placed an order for a subscription for my son on June 16. It is now 16 weeks later and I have emailed DiscountMags twice to ask them whether I should still be expecting to receive this magazine. I received an automated response both times saying I could expect a response within 15 days. The first 15 days passed so I emailed them again. I am now a week into my send batch of 15 days and I still have received no response. I trusted this site because I looked it up and it seemed to be reliable, I am now feeling very let down.

This company is joke. Did a 3 year renewal back in November 2021. Never received a single issue. Contacted customer service in mid February. Was told can't do a 3 year renewal anymore. Was refunded 1 year and they set up a new 2 year subscription. Was given brand new order number. June 1st and still no magazine. Checked account orders today and order number not even listed. This company has totally dropped the ball again. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! There are others out there that WILL actually do what they say and offer. Very disappointed

I ordered 4 magazines the end of December 2021. up until now(april 7,2022) I have received 3 of these magazines(2 in February and 1 in march) still waiting for the fourth one . what is taking so long?

I ordered People magazine on January 8, 2022. My order stated that it will be delivered between March 5th and April 2nd. Here it is April 2nd and NO Magazine! I find it hard to believe it takes this long to process a magazine subscription. I would like a response to this review!

We apologize for any delay in service. We left you a voicemail and sent you an email regarding your issue. We reached out to the processing centers and they indicated your subscription will start this month. The typical delivery time frame for a subscription to arrive is between 8-10 weeks. That is the current industry standard. The reason it takes 8-10 weeks is because all the publishers print the mailing labels ahead of time. They will typically print 1-2 months ahead.

I never write reviews, but I am so very disappointed with this company! I placed an order beginning of may and was supposed to get my first magazine 6/24-7/24. Well, today 7/31 I still have not received my magazine. I contacted their customer service department to be met with an email saying it can take 10-14 for an order status request to be processed. I’m sorry but waiting 2 weeks to hear back about my order is absurd! It’s also crazy to wait 2 months for a magazine to get delivered. Overall very dissatisfied with the company and will not be ordering through them in the future!

In December 2020, I renewed my New Yorker subscription (for two years) via DiscountMags.com and all was well for a while. The magazine came on time. It stopped coming at the end of April (despite having 20+ months remaining on the subscription) and I've been frustrated by how long it's taking to resolve the problem. DiscountMags.com doesn't share a phone number (so you have to use the online interface) and when I did that, I got a message telling me: "Once a request like this is submitted, it can take up to 10 business days or 14 calendar days to get a response. We will follow up with you as soon as a response has been provided for your order." So before you consider subscribing via this service, definitely weigh the possibility of waiting for two weeks to have a subscription issue resolved, versus being able to just pick up the phone and call the New Yorker directly. It's this lack of customer service that allows them to provide magazines at a discount, apparently.
