We were told and expected to get what we ordered. We got something completely different and are now paying more than what we actually wanted! Tried talking to customer service and tried having them view the previous phone records but they refuse to. They also refuse to give us what we actually ordered! We are so unhappy with DIRECTV and if i would have checked the reviews before purchasing DIRECTV then i would have known that this was going to be a big mistake. I am going to cancel as soon as i can because DIRECTV is a joke.

I was specific with my installation request and he flat out lied. My request was simple, 7/28 or not at all. Then I see my confirmation and the install is scheduled for the next day so I call back. Of course I can't get the same department, preferably Ben to share my thoughts to the twirp so I call the 800-531-5000 number and of course they are closed. I'm about to cancel based on lack of principles and poor ethics unless my install is done on 7/28 as originally mandated. Aside from flat out lying to me, Ben also tried to breeze over several important details of my order. Basically mumbling in attempts to deceive me. This is after I tried to place an order on Wed with Jeff but had to schedule a callback (which never took place) on Thursday due to system downtime. The prices for service change by the minute both when you call and by the year within your service. Just set the price and let me buy the amount that I want for that price. If I could order online, then I could do it WHEN I want, and I could just buy WHAT I want, and I wouldn't have to give my address 8 times!!!

I was mislead on what exactly I was getting then greeted with instead of a reasonable tv Internet package a bloated monthly price. This wasn't even the bad part. It was the 2 hours I spent on hold trying to cancel my service. Then instead of an immediate refund I now have to wait 3 to 5 days!! I was transfered around 100 places and met with resistance and attitude and in 1 case I just got hung up on!

I guess my installation was cancelled but no one had the gall to tell me. So ordering two weeks early did me no good!! Then calling all over 9 different numbers and no one I talked to had a clue what to do but give me another number to call!! Seriously? This is customer service? Still no remedy. I'm thinking of getting my hardware credit and just going with insight!!

I can't believe DirecTV claims they have better service than other providers. What a bunch of nonsense. Ordered service yesterday and noticed the confirmation email today didn't reflect what I was promised on the phone. Called in and they were very rude and unwilling to fix the situation. They couldn't get me to a supervisor, they couldn't transfer me to the individual I made the order with. They couldn't give me the services that were promised on the call. They made me wait on hold for ludicrous amounts of time and then came back with nothing. I've never been so humiliated. I'm actually a telecoms broker and they would rather have me drive all my customers to dish than resolve the issue I was having. Just ridiculous!!!

I was talking with my neighbor about his Direct tv when a technician arrived to do some repairs. He asked if I was interested in switching to Direct tv and I told him I was thinking about it, so he gave me a coupon for a $100,00 Visa card if I switched. I called the number he told me and ordered the program package I wanted, then mailed in the coupon.When I did not receive the card I called and was told I called the wrong number when I ordered my package so I was not eligible for the Visa card.I think this is wrong that I should be denied the card after following what one of their employees instructed me to do.

I just got an email from you after calling you earlier, I didn't order any service as you had said, I called to complain about not getting referral from friends! Which by the way, you should tell your customers if they ask to call Direct Tv. which I thought was who I was calling in the first place. This is very misleading! I told Direct Tv the same thing. You should honor everything direct tv honors, and the referral isn't one of them.. Shame on you! And shame on Direct TV! Not a very satisfied customer!
