The whole experience thus far has been terrible. Trying to make this story short for you, during the initial set up of my dish, the tech placed in right in front of a window completely blocking it. When I saw him doing this I went out and asked if he could move it 4 ft to one side he said it was too late because he had poured the concrete. I called after and asked a tech to come out and move it, so I wait the 4 hours on the scheduled day for the tech, and when he showed up he said he couldn't move it because they booked my apt wrong. So I had to make a third appointment waiting another 4 hours for a tech to come and move it. took 15 minutes once he got there, after already wasting 12 hours of my time. Secondly, I am in the military and only had 2 tvs when doing the initial set up. You are allowed 4 receivers free with the initial set up, but you have to have 4 tvs. I explained I was doing a military move and didn't have my other tvs and they said it wouldn't be a problem to get the other 2 later on. My furniture just arrived and I called and they are telling me no one made a note of it and want to charge $100 plus $50 service charge for EACH receiver. My original installation was only a month ago. If this is how a company treats it's customers. does not hold up on what they promised (which is why I signed on with them to begin with) and is not understanding in any way, I want to have no part of.

This company has taken away our local ABC station in Iowa City because they cannot come up with an agreement with KCRG. We pay for the station but they do not give it to us. They have done this off and on with local channels forever. So be forewarned if you want your local channels you may not get them and they will not care or resolve it. When you call they say there is nothing they can do. Plus they will not let you out of your 2 year contract even though they are not giving you what you agreed to. Good luck.

After receiving my bill, I noticed that I was charged for some payperview movies. Whe I signed up for this, I was never adviced that this programing could be blocked before hand by Direct TV so there was no access to this from the remote control. This is not a frindly device for a person with mental delay as I have person in the house with this discapacity and after talking to billing department with Luis, as he was not able to credit/wave the payperview amount,. I have asked to be transfered to the next person up the chain of comand and ended up talking to Edgar. After talking to Edgar and explaining the situation, Edgar was not able to help on this issue either. It is sad that being a new customer and after the fact that it was never explained that this programing was accessed via remote, and after explaining that it was ordered by error by a person with special needs. This didnt count as the only thing was to be credited with 25% of the total amount of payperview. Hope this will make it up the chain of comand and will not just get forgoten and left behind at the billing department with the supervisor Edgar of such department. If you have kids with special needs you might want to look for another cable provider as Direct tv has not mercy for you or anybody that has discapacities, they have no exceptions and you will be treated the same as the rest of the population.

I asked about a package including FIOS. The salesman said she could include FIOS at my address. I questioned her again telling her that 2 weeks prior Verizon told me that FIOS was not available on my block. She stated that Directtv had a special relationship with FIOS. She told me that the line was recorded and that she could not lie.She told me to sign up and the bundle manager would schedule installation. I told her that my wife and I work from home and that DSL speed was not adequate. I signed up. The bundle manager said FIOS was not available but they offered me a DSL product that had 5/15 mbs speed. I need 25 mbs speed. I canceled and will not do business with companies whose representatives blatantly lie.

I will NEVER recommend Direct TV to ANYONE!! We have been with Direct TV for over a year now and it has been nothing but problems every single month. We are enrolled for online payments so it's one less bill I have to think about coming out of my account. Every month up until last month they have continuously saved my expiration date wrong on my card making it so my payments are late, then charging me for the late payment AND to make a payment over the phone, even though that is the only way I can make a payment bc they can't get their online payment system correct. Also, like I said, we have been with Direct TV for over a year now. At our year mark, our bill went up significantly without notice. (not how you think a loyal customer should be treated) This last month, they FINALLY got their online payment system right and my bill went through on time. HOWEVER, we were overcharged by $50.. again WITHOUT NOTICE and because they don't have record of a PPV order being paid for back in August of LAST YEAR!!! I looked back at my personal bank statement and saw the charge myself, that it was indeed paid for. You should not be able to charge your customers for whatever you feel like charging them for, without warning, just because you have their credit card numbers on file. After I finally got the rep. to credit me back for the charge, I had to make sure they were going to put the money back on my credit card.. which it was a good thing I did because they were only going to return the credit to my Direct TV account. So again, they were going to hold on to my money without my permission. (To add to this, the rep thought she put me on hold and I could hear her laughing about something with another rep.) Also, don't plan on getting anyone that can speak English very well. I have had to literally ask to be transferred to another client because I can't understand them. As bad as that sounds, it's true. I don't know how long we will be keeping our Direct TV. Even with another 9 months on our contract, I would rather cancel that and pay the fee then stay with them. :(

As a first time customer, I ordered the tv/internet cobo. NEVER received internet after giving my personal information. Representative put the incorrect address and email on file. Tried calling back many times, no help at all. I was given and redirected to phonelines and numbers that were bogus in my opinion. I still don't have internet and there is no one to answer for this after spending serveral hours of getting the run around. I was repeatedly told by the representatives that they could only help new customers.

They have told me a number of untruths, like my bill would be so and so and they always charge me more then they said, they would have a manager call me about it, never happen. if I call them it always takes about an hour or 2 of my time. Had Dish for 12 years before DirecTV and never had to call them. All I ask is if someone says something, DO IT! Like problems go with Directv, Don't like problems go with cable or Dish or anybody else.
