RUN, DO NOT WALK!!! And above all don't do autopayments!!! Until June this year my averaged payments were 271.00, then 220.00 per month. Then all of a sudden in June I was charged 843.57 but not sent a bill and I can't print off a copy from their website - it just says the link is broken. So I looked at all the bills (now jumping between 120.00 to that mystery charge of 843.57 and instead of one invoice and one bill payment taken per month, they have sent up to four invoices in one month and seemingly as many payments as they want with absolutely no correlation between the amount billed and how much they steal from your account! Since June 1 I have been billed a total of 3696.57 and they show they have taken a total of 4507.74!!! I took a look at my emailed bills/notifications, and reviewed my bank account, and they are listing things on my account that never happened and/or weren't sent. I am givig them a chance to fix their mess or I am reporting their fraudulent behaviour to the better business bureau and perhaps take legal action!

Absolutely horrific experience the last year! I was with them for over 5 years and they are quick to charge fees and hike rates yet will not deliver a good service!

If I could, I'll give them zero, or -5! About ten years ago, I switched from Direct Energy-Regulated Services to this one-Direct Energy because they had better rates. They had some fixed rate 1, 3 or 5 year plans. I did not chose any of them and remain flexible. A week ago, I heard that a lot my friends have fixed rate now for electricity due to the rising market rate and decided to look into it. Out of my surprise, the result was shocking: (1) for electricity: the rate I paid was market rate(now is ~$0.20/KWH)+ a Fee of $ 0.0375/KWH. Yearly my household consumes 3000 KWH electricity. For "a Fee" was about $112 for me; (2) for natural gas even way more worser: my rate was market rate (now is 2.55/GJ) + a Fee of $3.75/GJ. The annual consumption is 120GJ - that for " a Fee" it was $450 for me. If you count it for almost 10-year period, the total wasted money was $5,620. Another thing I noticed is that they purposely hide their rate in the bill comparing to its brother’s company's bill. You have to dig out and calculate by yourself. Be aware of "a Fee" and keep away of this company!

Untrustworthy This company will not tell you the truth about how their services work and will bill you with or without an active account.

You sign up for a rate and then your bill keeps getting higher and higher and then you see they change your rate and say its because of the CenterPoint delivery rate but you already have a huge charge on your bill from CenterPoint. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They lie, they raise your rate and charge you for all kinds of charges

I tried making an affordable payment plan to get my bill paid with them because I am a low income person but they denied it. Left me and my aunty with disabilities in the dark no 24hr warning, nothing. We have no running water and or food because it went bad in the fridge and freezer. If you are low income. I suggest you don't go with them, if you fall into struggles. Don't go with them. They're don't care unless you have money, just another big corpo

Bait and switch.. Liars. Upped my prices by 5+ cents. no warning.. Refused to help. Stated they called me. Never did. Said they sent letters. Never did. Received the highest electric bill I have ever gotten in the 18 years I have lived in my home.
