I still stand by my previous review. Designs Cottage is full of scammers who are only out to take your money. Please do not take your business to them!

Like most of the other reviews I searched and found Designs Cottage with a seemingly decent deal for a webpage. They offered a roughly $700 deal for a whole host of items that would be included. However, as has been mentioned, they will call and continue to extract money for various items. When you are busy you think this is a lot, but okay. Then enough is enough. I requested a transaction on my page that had been completed be stopped at the bank (had not cleared payment yet) and the page be shut down. Yes, the work had been done, but I found out shortly thereafter that a transaction that they had sent me for a document claiming to be a Trademark application was actually false. Not to mention this occurred like six months ago and they never issued it until I said I want it. The TM number issued was attached to another business account at Patents and Trademarks! Not only that, the document was made in Illustrator. That sealed the no-trust deal. I am done with these people. You will be told you have to do some things or your site won't be this or do that. It is BS. They deliver a product, but it is a pretty sweet scam going on with exorbitant prices on the backend. The good reviews have to be from clients who either pay a high price for services that are acceptable to Designs Cottage or are fake. Many poor reviews have been made since I hired this company. Believe them. This discount pricing scam is just that. And, as has been said, they won't return the domain name as I and others have requested. Trust me, you can build a page easily on your own. All the charges they say you must incur...you don't need to! Stay away. I gave them a 2 star for the simple fact that the designer did communicate with me until I wanted info on the fake Trademark I was issued.

Scammers. Sure, they might build you a decent website at first, but every couple of months they come up with extra fees - all being thousands of dollars, even if you purchase a "lifetime guarantee" package. We canceled our service with them and we got no refund, and they have held our domains hostage unless we pay them another $650US/each. I can not stress enough how I would never recommend this company and their never ending hidden fees. I would give 0 stars if possible. Absolute trash.

Designs cottage is a scam they will call you every 3-4 months saying they need more money for licensing or your server has been deleted by google because of some policy. They will not take any accountability for their lifetime memberships they will find some loophole around it to try and charge you more money for it. Would not trust them as they are definitely running a scam operation. Didn’t receive any of my 10k back just cut my losses and used a local source for my website needs.

Stay far far away. Cottage designs takes your money and does zilch. They have been promising to return our funds (we are a small disability group) for months now. We have it in writing, we follow up and they will not return our emails or calls. While trying to work with them, to get our new website designed, they were rude and misogynistic. They would not make any of the changes we asked for or would do it their way. Our previous website, designed off a free website tool was so much better than what they were putting together. Once we got into the process, every time we turned around, they told us we would have to come up with more money - for no new services.

I hired Design's Cottage for SEO and marketing, a few days later they said I needed a better web-site, another 950$. I had worked with them for over 2 weeks, I had sent samples of industry websites and facebook pages. What I got was substandard work with grammar, spelling and industry misrepresentation. I corrected numerous propsed post and website page suggestions and offered suggestions and examples. The last propsed facebook post was a power point, the number of issues with it were too numerous after 2 weeks of corrections and suggestions, it was clear they could not represent my business or provide a professional product. If it was free I would not have used it! I canceled my agreement and requested a refund. I was told I would have a refund in 4 weeks, it has been 8 weeks. No one returns emails or phone calls, talking to a manager is impossible, they keep redirecting me back to the design person assigned to me. A 3rd party collects the money for payment and couldn't careless. This company is substandard, lacks integrity and unprofessional. I have lost money as I had to hire a competent developer. May I suggest Yellow Pages.

Design cottage service provided with great service and support during my website building. They have dedicated team to accommodate my small business needs.
