Several years with Design Pickle, and it's not better. We have had a constant workflow for years (so not just one experience but in aggregate). The quality of the work hasn't improved in spite of repeated asks and notes. From sending along InDesign templates that get ignored to the poor formatting of returned documents, we use about 40-50% of what we get back and of that, we still have to often make modifications and changes to make it presentable. This is particularly distressing in that we have narrowed our asks nearly completely to a couple clients. We have been transitioning many of our higher impact requests to other resources with better results. The dashboard is nice, and the company talks about making improvements. We've yet to see the positive impact. In response to the company, perhaps I should be clear. I met with the company multiple times in my many years with the platform with requests for many of these things to be addressed. I do hope they do finally address these issues, but this is a review, and up until this time, they have not. It is disingenuous to suggest I have not replied to your company (I did, saying the same thing), spoken to the company (3 times in customer review sessions), or to suggest to people looking at Design Pickle that this is not an authentic experience. It very much is. If you ask for reviews, please be prepared for actual reviews and do not attempt to undercut them.

I don't like this company, too slow for what it charges and on top it charged an extra month, I understand you carry people and cost but if that is the case you over deliver, I wont use them again.

After many frustrating delays and the Design Pickle designers not reading instructions nor adhering brand standards, we reached out to our support with our frustrations. We subscribed to their PREMIUM plan at $1,700 USD/month, so we expected quick and skilled work. They told us their designers can only work on our account 1.5-2 hrs per day before moving onto other clients. So, the per hour rate comes to about $50/hr. If they were doing better, quicker work than my interior design team, I could maybe see that rate, but clearly that wasn't happening. They also blamed the fact that we wanted our files in Canva (to make them easily editable) even though that is a "feature" they showcase with their premium plan. Don't promote a feature if you're going to use it as an excuse for poor, slow designs. All that to say, their designers didn't fully ready instructions, didn't adhere to the brand standards provided, and didn't turn around projects on time at all. I'm sure it's not their fault, it sounds like probably a management issue from the top down.

We used this service for a year. When our designer went on vacation we were given another. The other designer blew away our expectations. We explained that our designer wasn't to our standards (lots of coaching needed ongoing even after months of the same feedback). We asked for the other designer and the answer was no. And there was no real solution to the other designer. I would think a "pro" client that's paying steady fees every month would be worth the business. No one did a thing to keep our business.

We appreciate and value the feedback, Katie, and are sorry to see you go.

The turnover time is constantly disappointing. I honestly feel that if I submit a project before the cutoff time, I will not get the first draft for 2 or 3 days, and usually takes a few days to get right, meaning I can submit other projects until those are done. I'm disappointed.

Hey Jonathan, Thanks for your honest feedback. We definitely want to make sure we are able to meet your needs within our production system. Regarding turn around time, there are many factors that affect this: the nature and complexity of each request being one of the biggest factors. Knowing that our clients are time-bound on many projects, we do our best to deliver in a timely fashion, but quality is of utmost importance to us. Clients with similar situations often adjust their submission schedule and even add more design power to their accounts. I know you've had a few conversations with our CS team. We appreciate your open communication with us and Blanca will be reaching out shortly to further address this issue. Have a great day and thanks for being a client! Alex

To be fair, if I reviewed Design Pickle a year ago I would have given it 5 stars. My first designer was great, never had typos, never was sloppy, always communicated well and was very friendly. We built a great relationship, and after long time working together, she got promoted. Good for her. But it was a disaster for me. the next few designers they assigned to me, were not good at all. The creativity was bad, there were so many typos in the work that it cost my business time and money, tons of issues communicating, not very friendly and bad dialogue, overall level of effort was minimal, and the amount of time it took to make the same things was much longer. They still haven't found me a designer that was on par with my original designer and now are raising rates, and evening going as far to ask me to pay more to get a "pro" account. I would not recommend paying for a full year because you could get stuck with a bad designer and no way out. I go month to month, and I give them one more shot before canceling and finding another service.

Hi Andy. Thank you for bringing your feedback to our attention about Ermaine’s promotion. As a business owner I know you can appreciate our desire to promote within the company, develop staff internally, and provide our employees opportunities for professional development and salary increases. Indeed, this is an exciting promotion for Ermaine! That being said, we are also very aware of how jarring it can be to lose a valuable member of your team that you've dialed into your brand. This is never easy for either party and I wanted to personally apologize for how this feels for your team right now. We always want to make sure that the transition is as smooth as possible for your team. To help with that transition, have implemented a more effective plan for clients to ensure the quality and relationship you had with Ermaine is matched. This includes assigning a new created quality assurance specialist to your account. This extra step will help reduce typos and sloppy work, and overall get you back to the level of quality you were experiencing before. Again, thank you for bringing your feelings to us. We value all feedback as it helps us strive to be the best online subscription based graphic design company in the world. If there is anything you need changed right now, please don’t hesitate to ask.
