Used equipment is definitely used and worn. Customer service slow to resolve issues.

Rick, first thank you for your business and taking time to prepare this review. After reviewing your order with Nick, we were not aware that there were any service issues and we apologize that we did not meet your expectations. Please keep in mind that you have a full one-year warranty if you have any problems with your equipment.

Slow response time to get assistance…
Slow response time to get assistance with an order and it took over 6 weeks to ship the last item that I ordered.

Tri-State Family Dentistry - We apologize that we did not meet your expectation with the shipping of your Cavitron. In researching this, we discovered our vendor’s shipment was very much delayed, and we fell short in communicating this information to you. Going forward we have already changed vendors and are confident this will prevent this problem in the future. Finally, we want to say thank you for your business and your feedback. We take your comments seriously and look forward to working with you again soon.

Adec Dental Chair
Well, I'm not 100 % happy with dental Planet and their chair. I bought a Adec dental chair for about 11k.i had problems with it right at the beginning. Non stop there were some issues with cables inside the chair becoming loose and the chair wouldn't work (to this day I still have the issues, I have to open up the chair and reconnect the cables myself), cavitron stops working randomly, high speed didn't work and is still giving me trouble. Water supply didn't work. All these issues keep coming back and we deal with it, we don't have a warranty with them. Here is my frustration, when the chair got delivered my rep/sales man was half harted involved and I had to call him non stop, just for him to kind of accuse me of making up stuff and giving me attitude. After my experience with Dental Planet I don't think I would buy another high priced item from them. I bought pieces in the past from them and that was great, but this last 11k purchase was really disappointing and hustle to deal with. This is my honest opinion. Thank you

In reviewing this case, you made us aware that the chair was damaged in transit. Additionally, you requested the length of the tubing to be changed after delivery. We addressed all of these issues. Our goal is 100% satisfaction but we were not aware you were still having problems. Your standard 1 year warranty is still in effect through December 23rd. Please contact Nick or Customer Care at (866) 815-7606 ext 2760 8am - 4pm CT, Monday - Friday, or email [email protected] - any time we can be of service.

Pennies on the dollar is better than nothing, I guess.
We were in a position where we had to sell equipment as we moved into a fully furnished, new office. We had 8 older A-dec chairs and delivery systems, 3 Royal chairs, 3 Belmont X-ray units, 2 Siemens X-ray units, and a 4-year-old Planmeca digital pan/ceph machine. If we had time to sell on the open market, the Pan/Ceph machine was worth about $38,000 by itself (Dental Planet sold them for this price). We were given an offer of roughly $16,000 cash or about $19,000 in credit for everything. Total. Because the offer was so low cash-wise, we took the credit and figured we might be able to get something we needed later. We were given a year to use the credit and after that the credit amount decreased each month until it went to zero (I don't know why this policy exists, but we agreed to it). Well, several months went by and we did not need anything for the new office, so we asked if we could simply accept the cash deal originally proposed. After an initial response that led us to believe this would be okay with Dental Planet, we were told later, no. The cash offer was off the table and we had to use the credit. We had to use about $19,000 in credit for stuff we really did not need. I would say that if you are in a pinch and need to sell, Dental Planet is better than throwing it away and getting nothing. However, if you have time, sell it on eBay or on your own. As far as what we bought, we are happy with the equipment (a sterilizer, a porcelain oven, and several small items) even though we did not need them and would not have purchased them otherwise. We kind of equate our experience as working with a loan shark. You know what you're getting into when you sign up for it, but you hope it turns out better than expected. The people are kind and professional, but being low-balled leaves a bad taste in your mouth. So our official review could read as a single word: Eh.
