Denovo keeps trying to delete this
Denovo keeps trying to delete this, but we have talked with other artists on our "fans also like" who also admit that they have also been scammed by Elliot and James. We actually didnt use any other playlisting services other than DeNovo. Their reply is a lie. We've done further homework to confirm that Elliott and James are running a scam with playlists with bot listeners from Buffalo and Dallas. This has had a negative impact on our "artists also like". Most of them are rappers with less than 1000 monthly listeners and all are tied to the same playlist "curators" as Denovo claims to you. (We are actually an indie country act) We said that we promised to write a thorough honest review. If they'd have owned up to this and refunded us 50%, we would have included that in this review. Alas, they did not, and are using snakey language to cover their own shady tracks. The guys are clear cut liars and are preying on new artists, and coming up with not so clever replies to shift the blame somewhere else. These are BAD people and you should not do business with them, Paid $350 to be playlisted on irrelevant genre playlists full of bots from Buffalo and Dallas (do your own googling about this topic). This is the very thing we were hoping to avoid by getting involved with this company. There is a truth in their tagline about "Data Driven" marketing. If the data counts as bots in data centers feeding a Spotify page bad data, these are your guys!! There's so many points on our Spotify artist page that show how we were duped. The more digging we did, the more we realized that not only had we wasted money, we had actively paid someone to feed our account fake streams. The consultation call is more or less a predatory sales pitch. Afterwards, we addressed the data that we found and Elliot replied to us basically saying that since Spotify is paying royalties, they weren't technically "fake" streams. They also tried to take credit for us getting into Release Radar/Discover Weekly, which had happened 2-3 weeks prior to us even hearing about DeNovo Agency. Also, there's a reason that one half of this duo is a lawyer. If you so much as call this data out, James will email you in such a way that covers them legally. He emailed us saying he didn't appreciate us trying to extort him.... (We were asking for 50% of our money back) There are accounts on reddit with similar experiences with this company to verify. Do your own research. Run FB/IG/TikTok ads. Do not pay people to playlist your music. Ever.

Regarding your request for a refund, our policy is to evaluate each case on its merits. We believe in fair resolution and are open to discussing your specific situation further. However, we must clarify that requesting a refund under the threat of a negative review can be construed as extortion, which is why we approached the situation with caution.
