Hate the time requirements
Hate the time requirements, way to long.
Response from Defensive Drivers InstituteAug 26, 2026
Thank you for your feedback, Michael. We completely understand your frustration with the time requirements. Unfortunately, those timers are mandated by Arizona state regulations. We wish we didn't have to enforce them, especially for faster readers like yourself who move through the content quickly, but we're required to follow these guidelines to remain an approved provider in Arizona. We know it's frustrating when you're ready to move forward but the system requires you to wait. That's a limitation of the state requirements, not something we can change. Thank you for choosing Defensive Drivers Institute.

Why is the timer necessary?
The timer was three times too long for every section, some of the questions were worded very strangely and a notification often popped up, saying i was inactive and about to log out when I was actively reading.
Response from Defensive Drivers InstituteAug 26, 2026
Thank you for your 3-star review, Eleanor. We understand your frustration with the timer length. Unfortunately, Arizona state regulations require those timers for each section. We wish we didn't have to enforce them, especially for students like yourself who move through the content quickly, but we're required to follow these guidelines to remain an approved provider. Your feedback about questions being worded strangely is also valuable. We'll pass that along to our curriculum team to review. Thank you for choosing Defensive Drivers Institute.

Thank you for your feedback, Hunter. We wanted to check - was the 1-star rating intended? Your review seems quite positive aside from the comment about slightly outdated material. Just want to make sure the rating matches your actual experience! Thank you for choosing Defensive Drivers Institute!
