They call you non stop to get you in the door and as soon as you do that's when it gets frustrating. When I needed to call to speak to someone no one ever calls back when creditors were asking for information I couldn't get what I needed from them because no one would return my call. It wasn't until I went to the hearing that I was able to make contact with the paralegal and that was a couple months after I filed.

After choosing Deptstoppers to handle my legal affairs, I soon discovered that the location in Lithonia, GA office near Stonecrest mall does not accept cash payments for your monthly installments. In my opinion, this sends out a negative message to the customers that the staff there can not be trusted to handle the physical currency. Furthermore; some customers like myself, rather not deal with any more credit card usage. That's what got most of us into drowning credit card debt in the first place. We should at least be given the option to pay by cash or credit card, but not forced to get a card in order to make a monthly installment payment.

I was truly stressed and out of options so I thought until a couple worker referred me to them and within a week my problems became theirs and they dealt with it.....I have a 2nd chance so I would like to say Thanks Debt stoppers

I used Debtstoppers to help my financial situation. I had to go to court about my finances. I am grateful because the Judge and the courts dismissed my bankruptcy. I can go purchase things I need; but it was others people's fault that I went to having a difficult time with financing

I was skeptical about using Debt Stoppers for my bankruptcy because there were very terrible reviews online about them. However my mother recommended them as she filed Chapter 13 and had no issues. Still, the reviews caused me great concern. I however still gave them a shot, had a consultation, and decided to move forward. I however had educated myself on bankruptcy before speaking with them and had everything in order along with being very direct in my questions. Everything went smooth and though I paid a little more than I preferred for Chapter 7 ($1650) I have no complaints whatsoever!! They did their job and most importantly I did mine. So I'm thinking of you have any problems with this company or their processes it's probably because you didn't do what you were supposed to, didn't educate yourself and ask all the right questions so they can't take advantage, and/or maybe worked with the wrong individual. Nonetheless my experience was nothing like the bad reviews. My bankruptcy has now been discharged and I'm ready for my fresh start!!

The first visit was ok, then after a nightmare. Its a money maker. I only spoke with my attorney once if he was my attorney. They have rude an unprofessional people working for them. In matter such as something life changing as a bankruptcy you want professional people handling your business.
