I was hesitant about filing bankruptcy due to fear and lack of knowledge of the process. It turns out it was painless and worth the effort. The additional classes on how to stay out of debt and become more aware of your spending is and was most helpful during the entire process. Thanks Debtstoppers!!

They filed my Chapter 7 timely,and I'm completely satisfied with them .This is my second time using them.They're honest and courteous..

My experience was awful! I had went the first time to file in Schaumburg IL and I decided not to file a chapter 13. Then I went to the debitstoppers parallel or lawyer ( I didn't get a name) was very short with me and rude. I put $500.00 down and I was suppose to give them my bank statements and check stubs. Later, that week I did bring all of my information to them, I was told that someone will contact me. Well, 4 -5 weeks (maybe more) went by and know one contacted me. I kept calling and there automatic voice messaging system, which sucks. Finally, I get in contact with a lawyer who told me I need more bank statements and check stubs. Then, come in so I could sign some papers. Ok bankruptcy filed!! Three to four weeks later ,i'm get something in mail stating my bankruptcy is discharged and something else telling me I have to go back to court December the 15th 2015. So I find myself calling them and no one is calling me back. Oh, before I forget, someone called and my phone went straight to voice messege all you heard was people talking in the back ground and then they hung up. So, I called back again and a receptionist picked up this time she reminded me that someone called me back. I said ohhh was this the number, read the number to her, because all I heard was people talking on my voicemail and she paused on the phone for a minute and told me to call someone else. And by the way debtstoppers is pulling money out of bank account every pay period but I can't get in contact with anyone.....SOME TYPE OF SERVICE!!! I wouldn't recommend debtstoppers to anyone. I would tell to file there bankruptcy at another lawyer firm with someone that would work with you the same person not all these different people whom you can't catch there names. Bad service

I was well received at debtstoppers I was exceptional grateful that they help me file my bankruptcy. The bad experience is I still have a creditor harassing me and I cannot get anyone to help me with this harassment. I am now seeking an attorney to file a lawsuit. It was my understanding that once you file a bankruptcy that you were in a mode that stopped all harassing but Guaranty continues to send me emails demanding their money.

Business matters were handled and service was reasonable. Was very disappointed in professional courtesy. Was extremely difficult getting Attorneys and paralegal to return voicemails and email messages during entire length of bankruptcy case.

My experience with dept stoppers was great. It was easy..they did all the work..work with you if you cant make your payments on exact date. Keep you upnto date on the process. Sorry i waited so long to file. Would defimately recommended them for you financial relief experience.

Our experience with the Attorneys and staff at Debstoppers was good. From the very beginning, at the in-take meeting, and throughout the course of our bankruptcy, the staff answered all of questions and communicated every step of the process. Communication was always detailed in what we can expect with the court proceedings and any other part of the process. Calls and email responses were returned in a reasonable timeframe. This process requires patience and understanding, plus the ability to be fully cooperative and compliant. With that said, our process from beginning to end ran smoothly. Cons: (Reason for four stars) Early in the process there were times that it was difficult to reach someone (phones would route to the Chicago office, etc.). Within the past year this situation appears to be corrected. We have not had any difficulty being routed to the correct office. Overall, our experiences with Debtstoppers were good and we would recommend this firm to anyone with a simple or complex case.
