Poor Communication, Inconsistency, and Disrespect
Early on, two of your para-legals made me feel like a criminal even though they knew that my misfortune had been bought on by a series of life-threatening illnesses. At the time insurance companies could place a ceiling on your benefits and cancel your coverage altogether. Misfortune does not make you a criminal. It would have been nice to be treated like the unfortunate person I was. Next, I was not given information about the required online debt course I should have taken at the beginning of this process and only knew about the debt courses through the Trustee's office five years later. I was serviced by at least seven different lawyers and several different para-legals over the years. Almost every time we showed up for court, there was a different lawyer. Conference call appointments were made twice, but the attorney never called or offered no apology. And then there was the lawyer who gave me the wrong information about what to pay the Trustee and about when the bankruptcy would be discharged. Needless to say, that check was returned and I felt like I had been duped. There was no consistency. When I called to ask any questions, no one returned my calls. I got most of my information and questions answered by the Trustee's office. They were very helpful. Ms. Elise Taylor, who communicated with me through email these past several months, has been the most helpful person I've met at your firm. She got back with me in a short period of time, was very informative about the process, and answered all my questions. Over the course of this ordeal, I should have received better service even though your fees were relatively small. Is this how you determine who gets your best efforts?
