This company misrepresents their intention. I was deceived into agreeing to what I was told was a loan consolidation-which is what I want because it’s appropriate for my situation-but instead ended up in a debt settlement process, which I did not want. I am able to make monthly payments and do not want my accounts to become delinquent and do not want a 6 month hellstorm of creditors attacking using every communication source available to get the payments they’re entitled to because you are waiting for my escrow account to accumulate enough $. How can my escrow account possibly satisfy the overdue balances I owe to the now very angry creditors? Or collectors? Your history has a settlement success rate of about 50%, and the unpaid balance remains the responsibility of the holder, which now includes more interest and late payment fees. And because it shows as debt negotiated/settlement, your credit score/report tanks for 7-10 years and all accounts are permanently closed. No one will touch you. But you walk away with a successful “settlement” regardless of the outcome. There’s more of an incentive for you to negotiate a lesser settlement for a more profitable return for yourself. And the client rarely understands the control they have regarding their $ invested in the process. And many withdraw before completion due to disillusionment and the realization that they’ve been misled, therefore ending up in a worse position than prior to entering into an agreement with your company. As for reviews, anyone can buy them. Like buying ads. You could buy an article in Forbes if you have the $. They mean nothing. It’s the cases listed by BBB and the Attorney General’s Office and other relevant agencies that provide the truth. My conversation is recorded where I specifically asked if I what I was doing was a loan consolidation- not loan settlement. There are texts backing this up too. I have offered to define the difference and explicitly said I did not want any type of debt settlement program. And I was told it was loan consolidation. I think you may need to mandate an educational forum so employees have a more knowledgeable understanding of the program they’re selling. It’s basically a wolf in sheep’s clothing for someone like me who’s not trying to sink into financial ruin
