They Actually Care
I recently bought a Lumix GH5 and the price was pretty good, although I saw it cheaper elsewhere shortly after. Everything on the site said the camera would be shipped in a couple of business days, but when I called after not getting updates, the rep said it would take a couple of weeks. The rep told me if I got an extended warranty for $300, he'd rush the send it with 2 day delivery that day and throw in an extra oem battery that retails for $100. Two days later, the camera still hadn't been shipped and was only sent after I threatened to cancel. I know this because the shipping label wasn't created until after I contacted Deals All Year's cancelation department. But anyway, the camera came a couple of days later, but no battery. I called back, and the rep said batteries are sent regular usps and should arrive a week later. Over a week goes by, so I call again. I'm told it's been sent and will probably be another week. 2, 3 more weeks go by, and it still didn't arrive. Almost a month after I order the camera I call back once again and say I want to return the camera because the battery still hadn't come. The rep says he didn't know why and that he'd send one with tracking this time. I finally got the battery a few days later, but it's not oem. Turns out there was a miscommunication of information as Deals All Year doesn't sell Panasonic batteries, but their reps (Steve and Kevin) definitely went out of their way to make it right. Deals All Year seems to be one of the rare companies that actually does care about customer satisfaction, and I give them 5 stars for that.
