Great Weather Station. Customer Service is still poor.
We've owned a Davis Insturments Vantage Pro2 weather station since 2020. Even in 2020, customer service reviews rated Davis as poor. However, consumers rate the product itself as being superb. This May 27, 2026, I wrote Davis Instruments Support to get help in synchronizing my Vantage Pro2 standard console data with those reported via my WeatherLink Live upload device. Seven weeks later, July 16, 2026, I finally get a reply. Their answer invoked another question on my part. I wrote again on July 17th. Today is July 31st. I gave up on email and called them. 58 minutes on hold and I get the same rep who wrote the reply that took seven weeks. She helped me answer my original question. I then needed to order a component not shown on their website. This rep said she couldn't find the part numbers, but, she find them an email them to me ... today. At 3 p.m. Pacific time (5 p.m. here in TX) still no answer. I called again. After an hour and eight minutes on hold, another rep takes my call. He finds the part number in two minutes and sends me the link via email while we're speaking. I ordered the needed part. I griped to him about the customer service. I truly like our Davis Instruments weather station. However, six years later, their customer service STILL sucks. It just shouldn't be this hard to get a little support.
