DAVIS INSTRUMENTS HAS GONE DOWNHILL. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
I purchased a nearly 2,000 dollar system from Davis in 2017 and now, less than three years later, Davis sent out an email saying that the product will stop functioning December 31, 2020 due to the SIM Card in the device becoming obsolete and I will need to spend $675 dollars to upgrade the circuit board. Davis Instruments "prides" itself on producing high quality products that last 7 to 10 years. What they don't tell you is they make their products obsolete in less than 3 years forcing you to buy a brand new one. Complete Scam. I spoke with a nice gentleman at the company who apologized and said that as long as the product lasted over one year, they will not help me in any way. DO NOT PURCHASE AN EXPENSIVE DAVIS DEVICE UNLESS YOU PLAN TO USE IT FOR LESS THAN 3 YEARS
