Data Engineer AcademyReviews of dataengineeracademy.com

Very good experience. DE Academy focuses on developing the necessary skills for Data Engineering and helps by keeping you accountable to it. Would recommend if someone wants to seriously gain DE knowledge and ultimately land a job.

Very good! I learned AWS, Python, SQL, Data Modeling, and System Design well. Job application search is great! I landed interviews at good companies!

After getting laid off from my previous job (non-tech) I came across DEA. I came with zero coding and a little bit of Excel experience, but I had developed an interest in data. Coming from a non-tech background and already in my mid-career looking to transition, I knew I needed specialized guidance since the odds were against me. Yes, DEA's tuition was expensive, which required an extensive discussion from my partner, but ultimately the tailored 1:1 mentorship and the support with my applications made it a no-brainer since it would help me offload a significant amount of time and emotional fluctuations. The course platform and my mentors taught me SQL and Python from scratch, as well as other tools such as AWS products and dbt. It also offered a plethora of tangible projects (where my mentor helped with debugging and understanding its use in the real-world), library of tutorials (including LeetCode-type questions for SQL, Python, and Pandas). Fortunately I was able to study full-time and within 6 months from enrollment, I got an offer as a Data Engineer at a startup. The program continues to develop with more lesson modules, community forums, group classes, etc. things they didn't have yet when I first joined - so I continue to study with them to help me prepare for more competitive roles and quickly grow my career in this field.

DE Academy is a place where learning is made easy. Courses are broken down to the most digestible portion possible. As we age, our brains tend to struggle with new knowledge acquisition. DE Academy thought about that, and has really made it accessible and affordable for most working professionals. I particularly like their training plans, techniques. A totally different approach with training fees tailored to meet detailed needs. I do enjoy for the first time my SQL class which has been divided in 3 successive and consecutive parts, allowing even newbies (new beginner) to start with SQL training on a safe foot. Keep it up DE Academy!

I have been with this organization for about 2 months and the program have been a great experience. The team at DE Academy delivers on what they say they will do and assist you with. A game plan is set from the beginning with ample support and resources at your fingertips along the way. The rest is up to you!

As a Diamond client of DE Academy, I have received a lot of context around my career trajectory and having the support of so many mentors including the CEO has been very illuminating. I am so impressed by their level of commitment and strategy to keep students focused and interview-ready for data-oriented roles. Even though I only spent less than 2 months in the program, I am super stoked towards the next steps and receiving impactful mentorship, opportunities, and a life-changing experience to put my current situation to bed and look towards a much brighter future with clarity in my trajectory. The content within the platform is also really solid. I've certainly been able to leverage the content to do my day job work more efficiently while also being able to strategically prepare for various interviews in a short time frame. I believe Data Engineer Academy is going to reach the stars and truly train the next generation of data engineers, AI engineers, and anyone working adjacent to engineering-focused data roles to really succeed in the ever-evolving job climate with rapid demands and technological change.

Where should I start ? This program is one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had the pleasure to be apart of. I’m starting to love the wide world of Data because of this Academy. The hands on experience combined with the real world scenarios they offer make students feel as if they are Senior Level Data Professionals from the start. If you are new to this field, start this program & take time to really immerse yourself into this process, & you don’t have to worry because from the beginning they will encourage you to push through this with helpful advisors who really work to help make it possible to learn. Diana K. worked with me for weeks to get me enrolled & she kept being confident in me to go ahead & start this process with ease. I’m so glad to have enrolled & I feel like this will be the start to so many other successful endeavors that I will undertake. So should you decide to start your journey here, just know that you can feel comfortable with your decision as others have started right here as well !! Good Job, Chris Garzon !!

DE Academy is the probably one of the best schools worth spending time to learn and gain skills that will help you scale up in your career. They have a unique way of helping you achieve your goals with a dedicated plan tailored for you in whatever situation that may seem difficult or challenging for you to learn which really encouraged me to take the next step with the program. The staff is amazing! Down to earth, very understanding, knowledgeable in everything tech related NOT just data engineering but other roles as well, and patient which allows anyone to stay focus while they hold your hand along the way. They’re responsive and always ready to help when you need it! If your in the fence about joining I suggest at least jump on a call with there advisers to help you make a decision which they will not pressure you to make u less you feel like the program is the right fit for you. Can’t thank the DE team enough for helping me every step of the way! Cheers,
