When walking the Appelatian Trail in 2018 I discovered the Darn Tough brand. I bought two pairs in Franklin and still used them after the AT when back in Sweden. In 2023 one pair was worn out and Darn Tough helped exchanging it for a new one. The year after that they helped exchanging the second pair. Now in the end of 2026 the 2023 pair is worn down on both heels. Wrote Darn Tough a warranty request and got no answer. After a reminder they exchanged this pair also. So it seems it's really liftime warranty!! Thanks for the service.

This review is based on 1 month of testing the light-weight calf height socks (nearly daily use, 3 wash cycles done). These socks are incredibly comfortable. I can wear my leather boots all day without my feet hurting at the end of the day. They have a “premium” feel, and so far, they have resisted the wear and tear of my boots, so I have no reason to believe they are of poor quality. However, the claim that they should have no odor is not entirely accurate; they do develop a slight odor after repeated use, but it’s far less than my other socks. (I’ll test this during the summer to see if the other pairs of socks I’ve bought from them also resist odor.) I can’t comment on the lifetime warranty claim since I haven’t used it yet. I’ll update my review if my opinion changes.

Socks are good. Unfortunately, I was only delivered four and a half pairs (when I ordered five pairs). They were very slow to respond to my emails about the problem; however, I did order over Black Friday weekend (which might well have produced a glut of customer service enquiries, I suppose). Anyway, I did receive a replacement pair today, so I ended up basically happy... even though the slow initial response concerned me a bit 🙂👍🏻

Most socks sag on me at the end of the day, but these feel just as good as when I first put them on. I consider these luxury goods (and I am not much on luxury goods) that I am willing to pay for. I would like some more neutral colors, though, as I live in the south, and my socks are very visible.

Very strong socks, durable and long lasting, i got now 5 pair from 5years old till this week and they all are in super great shape even after wassing multiple times.

Wore them on the AT trail for 2.5 months and wore a hole--but gave them a real workout so I'm not unhappy. The warranty process was simple -- so they are good for that.

Great socks, but the thinner variety has ripped for me. I know they have a guarantee on their socks, but I've just kept a pile of the ones with holes for me to one day try to get fixed. Love the materials and they ARE quite tough, especially the thicker socks.

These are great socks although a little pricey! There are alternatives on the market but these are comfy and nice to support a local business!
