Deceptive Practices – Beware of Hidden Charges
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I fell for Dancebit’s promotional offer advertised on Instagram—€31.46 for three months of dance classes. After completing the payment, I was redirected to a page offering an additional premium subscription. I had no interest in this offer and tried to exit the page, but there was no clear way to do so. The only visible option was a large button labeled “Continue.” Thinking it would lead me to the program I had already paid for, I clicked it, only to discover an extra charge of €96.68 was added to my PayPal account without any confirmation or warning. This type of misleading checkout process is unethical and feels intentionally designed to trap users into paying for something they did not intend to buy. When I contacted support, I received a generic reply citing their “non-refundable” policy, which does not justify their deceptive practices. I have since contacted them demanding a refund and am prepared to escalate this to PayPal and consumer protection authorities if necessary. It’s a real shame because the program itself seems like a great idea. However, such dishonest tactics completely ruin any trust I could have had in this company. To anyone considering this service: be very cautious. Their process is far from transparent, and based on other reviews here, I am not alone in experiencing this.
