This bank had been fair with me...but
This bank had been fair with me during my health issues and hospitalizations over the past two years. I feel that they have fairly increased my credit line. My problem is the hold that they put on large payments. As a Christmas gift, and in celebration of being well again, I decided to redo my dining area. I had a budget for what i wanted to spend and visited several stores and websites. I decided on Wayfair for two major purchases due to the flash sale after Christmas. I made a large payment to cover the cost of the to items I wanted to purchase. The payment posted and cleared my bank account but my purchase still failed to go through. I contacted customer service and was told it would be five days before my credit would become available due to the size if the payment. This wasn't a mail in payment. Even if it were, in the day of ACH transactions, that's ridiculous. If I just wanted to make random payments I would have done it long ago to avoid late payments when I was sick. I have been a customer for almost 8 years and never had a returned payment. The bottom line is that although Wayfair generously offered me a guaranteed price for my items, when and if Comenity releases my funds, chances are that the items will be sold out due to the sale. I have already chosen accessories such add drapes etc to match my theme and I am afraid I will have to start over from scratch. Not to mention, attempting to schedule time away from work in order to properly install everything. Had I known this, I probably would have gone with another seller.
