On june 5th we ordered a Crua Aer 2 rooftoptent via the website of Crua. We got an e-mail that confirmed our order with number 1074, placed by my boyfriend Duriau Cédric. On juli 21th we got an e-mail with a track and trace for the containership that shipped our order. The e-mail also said that the eta would be september 7th or maximum one week later. This e-mail on juli 21th was the last we’ve heard from Crua. On september 5th we send an e-mail to Crua where we asked an update on our order since it still was not delivered. We did not get an answer yet. On september 8th we send an Instagram message to Crua but didn’t get a response. Then on september 12th we send another e-mail asking for an update. To this date we still didn’t hear anything from Crua since juli 21th. We are getting worried now. We are hoping to finally get a response from Crua via this medium. UPDATE: The day after we wrote this review, we were called by Crua. We were told that due to movements within the company our e-mails sadly got lost. Also something went wrong with the track and trace because we never got this for the tent, online for the ship it was on. The same day we also got a call from the Antwerp port where our Crua Aer apparently was still stuck. We made an appointment for delivery. The 26th of september our Crua Aer was delivered without any problems or delays. We immediately started setting up the rooftoptent on our car. The set-up went smoothly, and we LOVE LOVE LOVE the Crua Aer 2. The used materials seem solid. The skylight is the best thing! We can't wait to travel with this tent.

The pack bag could be thicker to protect the tent during transport/storage. Larger stakes. A bigger storage bag for trips that don’t require a person to roll the tent super tight for bag fitment.

So, without much rational other than price, I purchased a two-person tent. Went to set it up at home and the grommets failed as the poles were inserted. While I am surprised, I did receive an immediate follow up from Crua with a promise to replace the tent to resolve the issue.

Took over 6 months to get my koala v2 from the Kickstarter due to many issues (shipping, covid etc.) and after a few uses it began to tear at the pockets on the inside of the hammock. Received a personal phone call from them after complaint and discussed the issues I felt were with the product, shipping and where it’s made. They are sending a repair kit and gave me a refund. They have gone the extra mile to ensure everything is right with customer service and their product.

I ended up with this purchase due to a shipment that arrived that I did not order, it was part of another quality control issue I was working on. Most companies would eat such a mistake, especially since I was the one who called them, they had no idea it had occurred. They of course did not, they wanted me to go through the hassle of receiving a shipping label from them and trekking down to UPS to send it back. not much of a reward be doing the right thing. I am by nature a good person so I could not allow them to send me an item which they did not intend to. Since I did not want to go through the hassle of doing errands because of their mistake I offered to buy the product and asked for a discount, I really have no need or desire for the item and will be giving it away. They did offer a small discount 15% which was nice, but not considering the hassle they wanted to put me through. My only concern with doing business with the company is I have to wonder if average customer service is the norm, or if they are just so backlogged they really need as much product as they have on hand.

Bought a Crua Duo with a cocoon. Used it for fall camping. Next morning had condensation inside the tent and outside of the cocoon. Bag for tent is way too small. Struggled to fit everything back into the tent bag. Crua rep called and emailed. They are re-designing a bigger bag for the tent and will send a replacement in 2019. They also gave some hint as to why I was seeing condensation.

I received my Duo at the beginning of May 2018 and took it out on a 25 mile packing trip to the Black Frost trail in Pa over Memorial weekend. Couple of things it's 6.5lbs Dry. Get it wet and you gain another 1-2lbs after shakeoff. It would be a great feature to be able to unzip and remove the vestibule and have the choice of lighter Footprint options that are a separate component not sewn into it to make a lighter set. The stakes provide have the thin neck design and bend and break ready. Not everywhere has nice a grass meadow. I had rocky sites and dead trees for anchors and lost three pegs to this condition. This is not a "Backpacking Tent" This is a Car Camping tent.. It's a Great Design but this is going to be a regular Camp tent that I'll enjoy with my Pup.
