Crua OutdoorsReviews of cruaoutdoors.com

Purchased the Crua Core tent, easy to erect, pretty roomy(family of 4), also bought the UV fly sheet which helped keep the tent cool and darkened it for sleeping. We had a little leak on one of the support columns, but we think it's just that the valve cap wasn't fitted correctly after inflation. All in all seems a good tent, bit tight for 4,(2 camp beds, 2 airbeds) but managed to all fit in with all our gear and still have some floor space, having the porch area helped.

Ordered Crua tent nearly 4 weeks ago and still no delivery information I contacted customers support who said its being held in customs. It was then released from customs a week ago but still no delivery information starting to think I might not get it at this point. (Update) since making this review Tarah and Chris have made every attempt to deliver my Crua tri as quick as possible and included a free gift. I really appreciated the phone call from Tarah based in the US. Due to there support I would use Crua again. Now looking forward to getting outdoors

I sold my eno sleep system to upgrade to a crua. The reasons I wanted crua was the integrated bug net with the spreader bars and I liked the pockets. Thise were the 2 big items I wish eno had. I tried it out today and the pros are: set up is very similar to eno. The bug net with the spreader bars made it really roomy. And the access I had to items via the pockets was nice as opposed to having them at my feet or on the ground. Pack size is nice too for hiking and the weight isn't all that bad compared to the sleep system. I found it fit in a smaller backpack than my eno did. The cons: with the spreader bars in once you place a drink in the koozie the hammock almost flips. First time setting it up I had doubts on stability but it is very stable once in. The straps have a lot of give to them. It took a long time to figure out where to hook the hammock on the loops. Once I thought I had it after about 15 min I sagged to the ground. Found I had to almost set it really tight and about head height ( I am 6 foot ) so that i don't eventually sag. The pockets, although a pro, also have a con. They do tend to get in the way when either stuff in them not being used or empty. But that is minor. And I feel the drink koozie should be in the hammock not out especially if trying to use the bug net. I have a couple ideas about the pockets. All in all I really do like it. Will take a bit of an adjustment to get the right height to set up properly or maybe getting different straps but i really enjoy the hammock and it is really comfortable.

The Crua Tent/Hammock arrived intact and with all the contents. We went camping and my son gave the hammock a test run. The instructions were for an older model, had very small pictures and was over-simplified. However, it was fairly intuitive and my 16 year old figured it out in about 10-15 minutes (probably faster next time). There was some uncertainty as to how some of the some of the lines were anchored but he figured it out. He slept well and was warm during a 35 degree colorado night. He was very happy the next morning although he felt the hammock could have been a little more taut (but that probably will be corrected with a little experimentation on our next trip. (A suggestion for purchasers. It is a good idea to put the straps that secure the tent to the tree in a ziploc bag as they will get sappy from pine trees which can get on to your other gear)

Order placed seamlessly on my phone.. clever products. would like a distribution time but have opted for mobile phone tracked information. I like the spell check facility on trust pilot. thank you as a poor speller it gives me some confidence to leave a comment

the product looks absolutely wonderful, though i've just ordered it. one thing that i found very confusing about the website was that the image of three of your products assembled together seemed to be the default picture for everything and one has to scroll down to see the image gallery for the item you want to view. it may seem unimportant, but for an Aspie the apparent incoherence of such details is disorienting and distressing, and our numbers are growing rapidly.

Ordered the tent with understanding it would ship immediately. It was delayed till just prior to my trip and the staff got me a floor model just in time. I used the Crua Tri on a float trip down the Yukon River in Alaska. I enjoyed the fact that it blocked out the sun was great to sleep with the blackout as the sun was up 23 hrs. It rained two nights very heavy and we had no leaks. Strong winds on the river and tent held fast. set up was easy and strait forward.the tent had plenty of room for two guys with much room to spare (I would say easy for three guys to stay in) Negatives. The tent is bulky when packed not what I expected took up to much room in my raft. As the site says it weights in at 48lbs. not something you want to move around every day from raft to site as you move down the river. Venting, the upper vent for the tent dumps into the vestibule and when the sleeping compartment flap is rolled up it blocks the vent. Overall I will use the tent for road trips in the future but not likely to use on river trips due to space it consumes. I would recommend this tent and look forward to trying it out in the winter .

I can't give 5 stars because I was told the tent would ship on the 22nd of June but it wasn't shipped until the 29th. Other than that I'm satisfied.
