If you want to overpay for a service where they promise you one thing and deliver another, use these guys. I’m an idiot for using them.

Trust all of the negative reviews about this company. The sales person Daniel Kalchik told us that we had "a severe" rat problem. We paid $2,900 to take care of it. He sold us on a supposed "disinfectant" package to help after the rats are gone. Well we had one mouse, and after the so called disinfection we still have the same smell in the attic. The company is a rip off. DO NOT trust them!

An inspector came out, created a "plan" and charged me. The "trappers" lied about inspecting, they had no idea what the other "team" was supposed to do in terms of plugging up holes and disinfecting. So trappers "trapped" before holes were plugged and come to find out today- there are still gaping holes. I am extremely disappointed in this company - they took my money without doing the job

We were moving to a new home and discovered that the attic was a habitant for a raccoon. I have contacted Critter Control that indeed confirmed potential presence of the animal. We were offered to trap the animal in 5 days and to seal the house. Before signing the contract I was told that capture is not guaranteed, but " we never had a case in which the animal was not captured". Unfortunately, after 5 days the trapping was not successful and the animal was not captured. The house was sealed very well but the raccoon that likely meanwhile escaped the attic now started to come and visit us almost daily in the garden and pool. I have contacted the company again stating that we see the animal every night and may be they should put cage with the trap again. The response was that I will need to pay again for doing that and again trapping is not guaranteed. Moreover, now we were told that they not always capture the animals. While the company has a good name countrywide, it is expensive and at least they should provide service at standard that corresponds to the price that they change. Moreover, if the animal is still on the property and was not captured, they should at least attempt to catch it without additional charge!

We had a very stressful situation with Critter Control. It started out fine, and quickly went downhill. The sales person told us we had rats in the attic, and we contracted them to remove them, and seal up all openings on the outside of the house. The workers were careless, and left garbage in the neighbor's yard, which caused problems with them. We also hired them to replace the insulation in the attic. We found the communication between departments at the office and the team of workers to be poor at best. When they did the project of changing the insulation, everything went wrong. First they needed to remove all of our stored items in the attic, but we had been told to leave them on the floor boards up there, it can be worked around it. I was told to leave things in my master closet (the attic entrance is through there). Everything was to be covered in plastic, it was poorly covered up. They moved furniture in the bedroom to bring the vacuum for removal through the window. They did not put the furniture back. They were stamping and slamming and dropping things so furiously in the attic, that it made the light fixture fall out of the ceiling and smash all over the floor. (I'm still finding shards of glass in the carpet and on the tiles). A screw came through the ceiling of the bedroom, and the smoke alarm fell out of the ceiling. They were trying to be fast, that they just kept creating problems. They needed to come back for 3 more visits to fix up everything that they caused, which never should have happened. On the bright side, they did replace the light fixture, and caulked the ceiling where the screw went through it. They also lost the board that covers the attic opening by putting the new insulation over it. That was recovered. They had to replace the floor boards that were not put back, so that we could put our stored items back into the attic. They sent over only 1 guy to move the boards, it was too heavy. They needed to come back again with a team of men. I spent so many days at home, missing work, so that this project could be done. Had they done things right the first time, it would have been half the time they had to be in my home. I spent A LOT of money on this project, and lost money on wages for missing work to be at home. I hired them due to good reviews, well hopefully this will shine a light on how they really are as a company, and that is unsatisfactory!
Response from Critter Control of Ft. LauderdaleOct 10, 2014
Thank you for asking Critter Control to provide your home with wildlife remediation services. We take complaints very seriously here, due to the fact that we value our clients and want to ensure the best possible experience for everyone, given their respective animal and insect conflicts. The process of animal removal, damage repair and attic restoration can be frustrating and we, as a full service company, always strive to make the process easier. Critter Control has a proven track record of 5-star reviews and impeccable customer service. We thoroughly understand that each experience will vary based on circumstances and variables that are beyond our control. We would first like to apologize that we did not live up to your expectations. We completely understand the frustration of having workers in and out of your home to begin with, then to have to clean up any dust or move furniture back would definitely exacerbate such negative feelings. As for the noise while the workers were on site, unfortunately, with the industrial equipment necessary to complete the work and with such a tight space to move floorboards, we could not possibly have done anything to alleviate the unpleasant sounds. However, we took full responsibility for the broken light fixture and a screw that went through the ceiling. In regards to the external component dish on the light fixture being broken, we purchased two separate globe models to ensure a proper fit for the replacement and installed the fixture as soon as it was delivered to our office. We feel confident that where errors were made, they were rectified in the most professional and expeditious manner. We made every attempt possible to work with you on schedule coordination for appointments to aid in making the process smooth. Again, we do understand your frustrations, but we absolutely took the necessary time to ensure that the work was completely done and that any errors were promptly addressed. We do value your business with Critter Control. If you have any questions, or if you wish to discuss this matter further, please contact our office at (954) 467-6067.
