Crate and BarrelReviews of crateandbarrel.com

This purchase was awful and looked nothing like the picture. Some sort of cheap plastic. When I tried to return, they were offering to give me no money back so I'm stuck with it. Will never order from here again.

Received damaged item from Crate and Barrel. Item was clearly broken before shipping because the broken piece was not in the box. I wrote a review on their website, saying it's a nice item but they should check item before sending out and was told that they can't post my review. Never responded to the email about exchanging the order (it's been over a week) and have been waiting on the phone for 2+ hours now while I'm writing this review.

they dont even deserve one star. stores are closed and they are charging me 9.95 to return an 11.00 item. an hour and a half on the phone until i finally hung up. chat makes you wait then says it cant connect. worst customer service ever. I will NEVER buy from them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received a damaged lamp from Crate and Barrel. The online automation asks that I pay for return shipping ($20). I have been calling and emailing everyday for one week attempting to obtain a prepaid return shipping label. The call waiting callback feature has not initiated an actual callback. Yesterday I waited for four hours on hold before giving up. Further, there was no bill of sale or other packaging information included with the package. Whereas the website says you must include the packing slip when returning.

I've been on the phone for 1 hr and 15 minutes so far and still haven't reached a human being to cancel an order I placed today. No chat option, but have sent them an e-mail with no response so far. Last time I'll be dealing with C & B for anything.

Have been trying to get a hold of someone on the phone for 3 days. Sent an email and still no response. All I want to do is exchange something and can't find my order number online. Terrible customer service

I have just spent 1/2 hour on the phone and a little while later, I spent 1 hour on the phone trying to contact Crate and Barrel to order some items. I eventually gave up and will look other places for my items. I would think you could social distance your phone employees so I see no reason why they do not have a better system for ordering.

I've been trying for a few weeks to 'unsubscribe' from Crate and Barrel's marketing e-mails (in Canada), and on at least three occasions used the unsubscribe link embedded in the e-mails. I wanted to unsubscribe as they've been sending daily e-mails during the pandemic, and they've become a proverbial pain. On April 24, I contacted Customer Service online voicing my displeasure, and asking when I would be removed. I finally received a response on May 2 that I would be removed from their list 'within a week'. As of today (May 9), they still continue to send their unwanted e-mails. It's very poor customer service and pathetic distribution list maintenance, and their online 'unsubscribe' seems to be even worse. I watched a short Bloomberg interview with Neela Montgomery, their current CEO, who talks about how Customers are so important to them. From my experience, her organisation fails to deliver the goods.
