Cottman of LouisvilleReviews of cottmanoflouisville.com

I drive an old 1997 Honda Accord. My transmission went out on my home after work one Friday afternoon. I thought my car was done for good. I towed my car to the closest shop, but they didn't do transmission work. They referred me to Cottman. I called Cottman early Saturday morning, and they said AAA can tow my car in and they can take a look. It was mid afternoon when they called back; turned out that I would need either a new transmission or have it rebuilt, also needed my engine mount replaced. I went with the transmission rebuild and engine mount. They finished the job on Monday and I was back on the road Tuesday. They also had me come back a week later to check the car and everything was running great. It has been about 6 months since they rebuilt my transmission and my car runs like it were brand new. I thank these guys for bringing my old 1997 Honda Accord back to life!

I liked how the people there knew exactly what they were doing and were able to show me a couple things.

I trust Cottmann's staff to always do the best job!

This was my second experience with Cottman. They replaced my transmission 3 years ago. Had to bring it in this time with a problem with it not going into overdrive. They kept the car 3 days and recommended a car rental company that delivered a car to Cottman at a very reasonable rate. The car runs great. They are personable and easy to work with. Highly recommended.

I had to have my transmission rebuilt and they worked with me on everything, from a ride home after I dropped my car off to calling me ad keeping me in the loop because they weren't meeting the timeframe they gave to ME! I appreciated the thought because I was not left in the darkbat all, and I can appreciate honesty as opposed to a hustle! They were even able to catch another issue that my was having which will save me hundreds maybe even a new engine in the long run! Thanks guys!

A few months ago we decided to keep our 1997 Toyota 4Runner on the road a while longer and went forward with some needed repairs. We had estimates from a couple of places. Our usual go to shop declined to do the work saying it was a little more involved than they could do at the time, so we went with Cottman and were not disappointed. They did the work they said they would, for the price they quoted and on time. Our truck is back to doing long distance trips for us despite having over 268,000 miles on it. Thanks again.

I love that place and woukdnt take my car no other place

One of the hardest things to successfully discover upon moving to a new city is finding an honest and good mechanic, thankfully that is exactly what I found on the first go around! Both repairs (new transmission & power steering) Cottman completed were professionally accomplished and fully explained with no unnecessary salesmanship of additional parts or equipment. All of their employees were polite and attentive with a professional demeanor and a much appreciated sense of humor that will absolutely keep me coming back and recommending them to others.
