good shop. arrived to have a suspension noise analyzed, shop personnel test drove my car, put it on a lift and was able to perform the repair in short order. thanks guys.

End result of services very good. Completion was a day 1/2 later than promised & few $'s more than expected. Will try again like the mechanic & owner.

Got a remanufactured transmission for SUV, but still having some issues. Tranny still slips, then runs fine for a few days, then it does it again. Oddly, at times, when they're not open-like Mother's Day it struggled between gears for about 5 miles until I got home. Ran fine until Thursday, had to pull over and stop; went through the gears and drove fine, but once again after store hours. Might have to take it back and let them go through finding the problem, maybe leaving it for a day or 2. The managers were very nice, polite and professional, but I paid too much to be having these issues. STARS are between 3 and 4, will get a 5 if they can correct the problem.

When the family car broke down, the tow truck driver recommended taking the car to Cottman's for service. He said they did good work, they didn't try to tack on unnecessary repairs, and they would work quickly. He was absolutely right on all counts.

I have used Cottman of Louisville for 2 rebuilds over the last 10yrs. on 2 different vehicles and they their work is reliable. They are my go to transmission shop.
