My twin brother took out an insurance policy in May of this year for the sum of $8000.00. He passed away on August 24th 2026. When I called to make the claim, I was told that his policy would have had to have been active for a year for me to receive his deaths benefits. I had to go through the county to pay for his cremation. They are nothing but a bunch of pirates!!! Very dissatisfied!!!

I am a beneficiary and I am due a portion of my mothers funds she left me. I have called each month to here we are "looking into why the check isn't paid" and they "need approval from Penserve" and no check still after almost 8 months.. they will "escalate" the account and information which means nothing in this case it seems. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY as they can not be trusted with your money.

I have been trying to recieve a distribution have received the check they lied daf they couldn’t do a direct deposit they have been doing direct deposit for over a year now I ask for a large sum they cannot do direct deposit deposit I get the check and deposit it in my bank will not release the funds until they verify the check either corebridge all the numbers on the check that my bank calls have been discharged corebridge told me My account was flagged do the couldn’t deposit it a lie I have down 2 days n the phone with my bank they say there is no hold on it a direct deposit should come through corebridge is lying they don’t want to release the funds until it’s $10,000 they are crooks just read the reviews I will get with the Utah attorney general to get them banned from operating in Utah wow I get a call gtomRonnie he is awesome trying help me very nice man I honestly belittle he will get this fixed he needs raise completely Put my faith back in corebridge if they have great people like him who cares

Long wait time. Given miss information When I ask to speak to supervisor to address issue, told 3 minute wait, after over 1/2 hour no one came on line. It just goes on and on. I just wanted to know if they received payment. How do you think the service would be if I was submitting a claim.

The worst part about my dad dying was having to deal with Corebridge. If you love (or even slightly like) your family members, do not leave your money with Corebridge. Because when you pass, they will do everything in their power to keep your beneficiaries from getting that money. The experience my family has had in dealing with them has been nothing short of criminal. We all love each other a little bit less because of how we've had to take turns prying even basic information from customer service agents that at BEST are completely incompetent. At worst, I'd say it feels more like they are actively and intentionally sabotaging the entire process to delay the legally required payout. Here's some of what you have to look forward to if you do choose to deal with them: - Long hold times (sometimes over 4 hours) for answers to even the most basic questions. - Being constantly redirected between departments. No matter what you call about, the agent is going to make it someone else's problem, and it's probably going to take another hour or two. - Dropped calls about 50% of the time (often after hours of waiting). Thought you were close to talking to the right department? Think again. - Communication is WORSE than nonexistent. Most agents are from the Phillipines and speaking limited English, and none of them have any familiarity with the claims process or forms AT ALL. You could ask what to write in the "First Name" section and they will put you on hold to ask a supervisor. It's that bad. This company should be investigated, because there is NO WAY what they're doing should be legal. Stop playing with people's money. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! **Update - 8/20/26** Since Corebridge commented on my review to give the appearance that they are listening to their customers, I though it'd be amusing to share how they have "helped." I received an automated survey via email asking for some information pertaining to my account. Over a week later, I got a templated email telling me they are "pleased to provide the following information," with the following information literally just being them telling me that they can't verify my identity as an authorized user for the account. So they literally sent me an automated survey/email rejection after seeing this review, just to... confirm that they are useless? They never called me or took any meaningful steps to get my issues resolved whatsoever. Okie doke. See you guys in court!

This company has a subsidiary called American General Life Insurance. They are a horrible and unethical insurance company. They do not answer phones and send you on a Merry Go Round when you call customer service or try to file a claim. You would have to be insane to do business with them.

No Answer - I have tried to process two loan requests from a life insurance policy and it has been over a month. I have called, and they said they need more time or I wait on hold and then get disconnected. I have tried NUMEROUS times to email over the portal, and I keep getting an automated response that "they need more time to research", but I hear nothing back. One person I spoke to stated they have the forms, and they will be processed, but nothing is happening. Will be contacting SEC. This is a life insurance policy with cash value I am entitled to borrow against. So frustrating. Would give zero stars if I could.
