This is a horrible company!!!! They have offered zero help after my grandmothers death. They will not distribute funds. Each time we call they give a different excuse. They also sent all of our paperwork to a stranger at a random address. This has been the worst experience. To make it even harder, NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH!

My son passed away in September 24
My son passed away in September 24. I have been trying to close his estate since. Corebridge is the last account. I have filled out the same paperwork 3x, called them at least 7 times, spent hours on hold, was promised call backs 3 separate times, without call back. I am currently on hold again.

Don't walk, run the other way
I really don't know where to start with this company. Never have had an experience in my life as frustrating as this, and I'm someone who works in finance/wealth management for a living.
My grandfather established a variable annuity many years ago with my mother as the owner, and myself as the annuitant. It was initially through AIG and subsequently passed along to Corebridge. We've been receiving quarterly statements in the mail on it for years, but honestly never paid much attention to it.
Anyways, I got to a point where I wanted to gain online access to the account and proceed with a withdrawal of funds. Then the craziness kicks in...
- I spoke to Corebridge 5-6 different times, was asked different validation questions everytime, and got transferred to 3-4 people every time I called.
- When I initially requested online registration and access, I was told it had to be "approved" by the financial advisor listed on the account (who I have never heard of)
- I demanded to speak to the legal team, and was then transferred to a "supervisor" - who tried to stall the conversation multiple times.
- At first, the supervisor told me it would take 4-5 business days to process my request for online access. I told her that wasn't acceptable and would need access before I got off the line. She then quickly pivoted and told me she could send me a link for registration.
- After telling me this, she tried to end the conversation quickly and told me she would email the link. I stopped her and asked her what email she had on file for the account - and as I suspected, there was not even an email address listed.
- Before ending the call, I asked the supervisor why I was originally told my "financial advisor" had to approve my access, as I've never heard of this before. She told me the representatives were passing along incorrect information. Funny thing is, I heard it 3 different times.
- Ultimately, I was able to get access the account online, but it was one of the sketchiest processes ever. Subsequent interactions have been no different.
I told my wife that I know they're incompetent (it's by design to prey on older Americans), but there might be something criminal here.
I would advise any and all people to stay as far away as humanly possible. Could not recommend less.

Could not speak any worse of this…
Could not speak any worse of this company. My bank, credit cards, phone and other accounts were hacked in a sophisticated attack. The hack caused payment interruptions as I had to close down all accounts and replace them. I had been paying on policies with AIG/Corebridge for just shy of 20 years when the hack happened. Not a single phone call or email to alert me that my policies were canceling. When I found out about the cancellation of the policies (just days afterward) I was told I would have to completely reapply, despite my providing Information about the police report Into the hacking. This company is worthless. I have now looked into what others say about this company and see that they have hundreds of one star reviews. Very few positive previews. Don’t waste your time with this horrible company. They deserve to fold and be gone forever

Stay Away from Corebridge!
I recently was given the responsibility of executing my father-in-laws trust. He had a 403-3 through AGI, now Corebridge.
After 45 days of filling out, sending multiple times, and not getting return calls, I am about to give up.
My most recent contact told me that the account was closed, Yet their Q4 report says otherwise. They told me the reports were invalid!
Stay away from Corebridge!

No confidence in customer service
I recently called Corebridge Financial to see where my pension/annuity has not posted to my account. I was rudely informed that I do NOT have an account with them. I explained to them that my pension was transferred from another previous holder. The representative continued to ignore me when I told ALL of the information I had. After repeating myself for 5 times I succinctly informed him I wanted to speak to a supervisor. He continued to talk over me and when I finally told him that he needs to stop talking over me and that I am customer, he denied this. This was infuriating and once again, in a loud, clear voice I informed him I want to talk to a supervisor since he apparently knows nothing OR chooses NOT to do his work. This was NOt resolved as he put me on hold for 27 minutes. I assume this was to get me to hang up the phone, which I did. This agency deserves NO review and I went to the website to send an email to the company and was unable to find any email accounts, other sales people. I guess the next step is contact an attorney and see what they have to say regarding.

The most ignorant support people or ?
The most ignorant support system available. After weeks asking why my insurance premium was not charged to my credit card on the due date, and getting the most diverse set of explanations, I was charged twice. When talking to the agent I was told their system has only one charge on record and that I should contact my bank to address the double charges, although I received emails from Corebridge Financial confirming the each of the charges.

Won't Release My Funds!!
I want to give ZERO STARS! I've been trying for 2 weeks to withdraw "Hardship" funds from my 403B account to purchase a new home. My Corebridge financial advisor and the new home sales agent have spoke with Corebridge's customer service team but to no avail. We've sent them the entire "New Home Purchase Agreement" to show exactly what was needed. The customer service department is all overseas and none of them seem to understand what what me, my financial advisor and the new home sales agent is trying to convey. I've had the issue escalated to a "CASE MANAGER" in which I've gotten no call or response. I've been told to send the same documents to several different emails yet to get another "Secured Message" today 2/11/2025 to send the same document to the email in which I did early on in the process. I've asked for an American Customer Service representative but I'm told they don't exist. The remainder of my funds to purchase the home was due yesterday 2/10/2025. I hope I don't lose this home dealing with Corebridge. May I add it doesn't help that each phone call to the only number available (800-448-2542) takes about 1.5 hours of hold time! Please stay away from this company at all costs
