The withdrawal process is absolutely disgusting. NO matter when or how you fill out the forms, it is never correct or enough for them. The customer service is horrible. It takes 2 weeks or more to receive a withdrawal. Not one time has it ever been correct in the requested amount or the tax withholding. They needed another state form that was not listed anywhere. I had to call to inquire why long delay in my request. They said they emailed me the need for another form. NO email, NO communication as always. Last time I called told to write Net amount wanted. I did, received $2500 over and wrong amount. Next time I wrote the amount and received under $3000. They need to change the forms for better communication. When you call, there is always static on the line, staff accents can be challenging, and wait times are excessive. NO one can do anything by phone to expedite or correct issues. Terrible company, would never recommend.

They were oh-so cooperative when I gave them my money. But things turned bad when I wanted to transfer my investments out of Corebridge and into another company. After months of back and forth, I have still not been able to complete the transfer. Every time I submit the Corebridge transfer form, Corebridge rejects it because of a new "problem."At first they gave me an incorrect form altogether. Then when I got the "correct" form, Corebridge rejected it repeatedly over minor things -- which they should have identified in the first place. Stay away from this company.

I called my agent Chad McKenzie Lewis who signed me to a policy in early May 2025 because l had some questions regarding the policy l received in the mail and wanted to change my auto deduction so l left a detailed message. He never returned my call for two days. I called customer service and they could not help but gave me a number that was invalid. The message said wait for others to join the meeting then played crazy music. I called the next day asking for a manager but the custom service representative gave me a hard time being unprofessional with questions and his tone. He finally transferred me after l expressed how unprofessional he had been. The person who answered the phone didn't identify herself but when l asked if she was a supervisor she said yes. I explained the issue again and all she said was the policy is pending. I asked why and l wanted to change the automatic deduction date and pay now. She said the agent would have to she could not, nor could she say why the application is pending and l just needed to call the agent yet again. I explained l have called and the agent is not responding. She could not explain why the number give for his agency was not valid with a crazy message for employees to hold while playing crazy music. I then said l no longer feel comfortable doing business with Corebridge Financial due to the unprofessional responses and l want to cancel the policy and auto draft and l would alert my bank to block any transfer of funds. She could not explain why an agent would not follow-up with me nor why l was transferred to a number not for clients but internal employees. I should have done further investigation on this company because my son said mom they have very bad reviews and are not reputable. The agent who signed was very nice and professional in the beginning but unfortunately that is how scams work to get you to sign. I would NOT recommend doing business with this company.

The most incompetent and despicable company. The level of incompetence and bad faith is beyond comprehension. Never, ever entrust your money or your time with this company

My father passed away over a month ago. When I contacted Corebridge, I was informed that the funeral sent in all required documents on the 18th of April and would take 14 days to process payment. I chose EFT because it’s supposedly “quicker”. After 14 days, still nothing and the claim is still in process. The funeral home hasn’t been paid either! You only speak with foreigners, they don’t have a direct line to their claims department. I was told that because I chose EFT, it requires a supervisors approval. WTH??? After reading other reviews, I may never get paid!

Terrible company, originally AIG, they now want my policy payments to increase by 7 times my monthly payment I have been making for 27 years. How can anyone do that on term insurance. I am 82, and now everything is lost. Every customer service agent is in a foreign country, can’t talk to someone that is in the U.S. Agent is trying to work for me, but he had no idea they were doing this.

Everything is wrong. Two years since I purchased my annuity, now I have less money. Trying to log into my account is always a challenge. Zero stars for website design. When I was approached by the salesperson, I was given a typical sales pitch thinking this is the place to be. Oh boy, was I so wrong and sold out. I want to get out, but I was told, if I get out now, I will have far less money than when I got in. I thought an annuity was a safe place to be. I have another annuity with another company which is way up. How I wish I should have gone with them instead of Corebridge. Sad, so sad my hard-earned money is decreasing instead of increasing. Stay away from this company. It is bad news.

I reported them to the US Postal Inspector and the Texas attorney general...made me feel better anyway...
