Thanks for sharing this feedback — and I’m sorry for any confusion about the editions you received. To clarify, we did not ship outdated materials. The exam you purchased these books for is specifically based on the 2017 Code Book and the 2020 Ugly’s, and the testing provider only allows those approved editions into the exam. Newer editions are not accepted for that exam, so we stock and ship the correct versions required to test. Please reach out to [email protected] and we can provide evidence of this (including the exam’s approved reference list/requirements).

If you received a confirmation email with the webinar details and join link, you absolutely should not have later been told you weren’t registered—this is not the experience we want for anyone. We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with the print quality of the Paint Contractors Manual and that some pages were difficult to read. To clarify, we purchase this manual directly from the publisher and ship it as received; we do not reproduce, photocopy, or self-print any of these books. The print style and formatting you described is how this publisher produces that specific manual. That said, we were able to locate a clearer copy, and we are emailing and calling you to confirm your shipping details so we can mail out a replacement today. We’re sorry for the frustration and appreciate you sharing your experience. Your books were shipped the same day you placed the order using the expedited 3‑day service you selected. Please note that carrier “business days” do not include weekends or holidays. Once the package is in UPS’s possession, any reschedules or transit delays are determined by UPS, not us. According to the current tracking updates, your shipment is still on track to arrive within the 3‑business‑day window (excluding the weekend). We never want anyone to feel left in the dark on shipping updates, confused about what’s included in an order (like highlighting/tabbing), or stuck using content that doesn’t match current information. We also take feedback about communication and expectations around offerings seriously. Regarding shipping: in some cases, due to our suppliers, certain books may be on backorder. When that happens, we notify customers by email, and we ship out all available books right away so you can begin studying. Any backordered items are then sent as soon as they arrive at our warehouse. We made several attempts to help and provide clarity around the ROC portion of the prep materials, and we understand you previously purchased the program and were trying to confirm what had changed and which materials were still relevant. We also recognize that the support you received didn’t meet your expectations within the timeframe you needed. We offered to get you into our Office Hours session so you could speak directly with an instructor, but we understand that waiting a week for the next available session wasn’t a workable timeline for you. Additionally, we sent an email on April 3rd addressing the specific items you raised regarding the Blueprints and Carpentry Building book content. I’m going to resend the email that outlines the Virginia ROC exam topics exactly as they’re listed on our website, along with the link to join the Office Hours session so you can speak directly to our instructor. I’m sorry you ran into issues at the survey step. I understand how frustrating that would feel after spending 3 hours and paying for the course. We checked on our end, and we’re not seeing anything that indicates the course locked up on our side. We can also see that you did complete the course, and your certificate of completion is showing in your account. You can log back into your portal to access your certificate of completion.
