Thanks for your feedback — and I’m sorry you ran into trouble getting started. The course does play, but it’s a recording of a live class. Because of that, the first few minutes can seem like nothing is happening while the instructor is waiting for students to log in, so there may be a short stretch of “dead air” at the beginning. I also sent you an email explaining this. We appreciate you pointing this out, and we’ll look into removing those first couple minutes of wait time to make the course start more smoothly. If you have any questions, please reach out—I’ll be happy to assist. 888-858-7350 or email us at [email protected].

Thank you for the candid feedback—we appreciate you taking the time to share what’s working and what isn’t so far. We do want to clear up one important point: the “Assessment/Test” you’re referring to is not the full Practice Exam. It’s a short, 5-question sample designed to give a quick preview of the question style and format. The full Practice Exam is a separate option located directly below that section, and it’s the one intended for more complete, exam-style practice. The sample assessment is limited to one attempt because it’s meant as a quick preview of what the full Practice Exam looks like and the general difficulty level. On audio quality, we take that seriously. We’ve emailed you to ask which specific lessons you’re having trouble hearing so we can investigate and resolve it as quickly as possible. Also, your books are out for delivery today. We appreciate you giving everything another look once the books arrive and you’ve taken the full Practice Exam, and we’re here to help if you need assistance finding anything in the course. Should you need any assistance at any time, don’t hesitate to reach out at 888-858-7350 or [email protected]. Our team is ready to help!

We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience, and we appreciate you taking time to share your feedback. Our online course is designed to offer much more than simply covering the content in each book. In addition to guided instruction, the course includes practice exams, study strategies and tools to help students become familiar with navigating the required materials efficiently, an essential skill for success on the exam. Our focus is on helping students understand how to locate and apply information rather than memorizing specific questions and answers. Many students find that taking full advantage of the practice exams and supplemental resources within the course significantly improves their preparation. We value your feedback and are always working to improve our program. If you need anything in the future or have any questions, you can reach us at [email protected] or 888-858-7350. We understand the concern about your credits reaching the North Carolina State Board of Examiners. When we first tried to submit your hours, the required post-course survey was incomplete, so the Board’s system would not accept the file. We called and emailed right away to explain what was missing, and—after receiving the remaining information—successfully reported your credits. Please double-check that all state fees have been paid, as the Board cannot post hours to your record until those fees are settled. If you have any questions or need proof of submission, reach us anytime at [email protected] or 888-858-7350 and we’ll be happy to help. —Contractor Training Center

We’re sorry to hear the practice exams didn’t feel valuable. They’re designed less for memorizing specific questions—since the state’s open-book test can draw from anywhere in the approved references—and more for honing the skill that matters most on exam day: quickly navigating your books to locate answers. Treat each question as a drill in tabbing, indexing, and citation-finding rather than expecting the same wording to appear on the actual test. If you’d like tips on using the practice set more effectively or additional guidance on book navigation, please let us know at [email protected] or 888-858-7350. We’re committed to helping you get the full benefit of the material and feel confident for the exam. —Contractor Training Center
