Contradicting their own website advice.
I was doing some research of debt collection practice law and came across an article on this company's website, which made me reach out to them to schedule a consult. When I get someone on the phone, he proceeds to tell me they can't help me and completely contradicts the article on the website. He then informs that that even though the collection agency has in fact broken the law, they will not help me because I do in fact owe the debt. I am not trying to evade paying the debt, but it is widely known that collection agencies practice malicious reporting as a way to pressure people to pay. These types of practices are mostly illegal in how they report. That is what I was asking Consumer Attorneys help with.

Hi Daniel, We’ve reviewed the records of your intake process, and from what we understand of your current situation, there isn’t much we can offer you in terms of legal representation. We’re glad that one of our online resources helped shape your understanding of your rights, but not every case is of a type or at a level requiring our legal representation. We respect that this news can be disappointing to hear, especially when someone is overwhelmed or stressed by a collections problem. Feel free to reach out again if you’d like more insight into our decision or to be pointed toward some resources that may be helpful. Best of luck resolving your situation.
