Response from Consumer Attorneys PLLCJan 20, 2025
Hi Chris, After reviewing our intake files, it looks like we spent time and effort investigating your claim and came to the conclusion that you don't really have any notable damages at the moment, so a lawsuit isn't appropriate. And we didn't charge for any of the consultation, investigation, or attorney review, as promised. Calling our devoted intake team trash for helping to figure out that you don't really have an actionable problem is a pretty intense response. We understand that an error on one of your credit reports is a violation of the law, and that a refusal by TransUnion to correct the error is a violation of the law, but since you haven't really been harmed by the error (especially since the other two credit bureaus are reporting correct info), there's insufficient damages to warrant a lawsuit at this time. (That could change in the future of course.) We suggest bringing your claim to another law firm for a second opinion, then maybe grabbing a coffee or taking a nap. For the record, we love our intake team. They do a fantastic job for everyone who calls.
