I bought 4 tickets for the Queen concert in Chester Cathedral on Thursday 10th September at 1930. The venue is excellent however the quality of the concert wasn't and we left at the interval. The main issues were the sound quality (unbalanced sound stage with poor instrument recognition, the lead guitar wasn't loud enough or had clarity, a key requirement for Queen songs). Sorry to say that only one of the singers gave a true representation of Queen vocals with the other two singers giving their own interpretations of the songs. I never complain but I felt cheated at the quality of this concert which was part of my 70th Birthday celebrations and wasn't cheap!

I bought two tickets in April 2026 for a tribute Queen concert which was advertised and had tickets on sale for Saint Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin for Saturday the 5th September. I noticed this week that Franki Vallie is being advertised for this venue at this time. I have been trying to contact the organisers of the event to get my money refunded and the event organisers have not even answered my emails or messages. I would not advise anybody to trust the organisers of these candlelight events.

Tina Turner (Dixie Daye) St Albans Cathedral 22 August 2026. This is the worst concert I have ever been to. She didn't even resemble Tina Turner, she can't sing and her wig was like a blonde afro. Absolutely awful, total waste of money. It was so bad we walked out after 25 minutes just couldn't bear to listen any longer. Don't give up your day job Dixie !!

I don’t normally write bad reviews as it’s easier to moan than praise but I, like many others feel mis-sold. All adverts relating to these performances show & highlight a string quartet amongst a mass of lit candles. Last night seeing an Oasis version in Kings Lynn was neither. We were in fact watching a tribute act with 20-30 electric candles in front of the band. They were good but not what I was sold. I’ve tried looking back at the original email but the link is no longer available 🤔 The wording has since changed too. It now says there will be either a tribute act or a string quartet. Given the choice again, I wouldn’t have bothered & been £100 better off. The original idea was great. What it has become… not so good & I won’t be going to another any time soon. Why try to take as much money as quickly as possible instead of getting people to return & encourage others to do the same?

We saw the Coldplay concert at Chester Cathedral. The sound quality was incredibly poor making it difficult to appreciate the live band and vocalists. The band was incredible but the vocalists not so much. It was noticed that some people didn't return after the interval and I can understand why. Overall it wasn't worth the money and I wouldn't recommend.

We visited Blackburn cathedral last night to watch fleetwood mac by candle light. Only managed 40min and that was more than enough. The sound system was not in keeping for a cathedral. Viewing was poor though not restricted but managed to see a few dozen electric candles. Was not impressed and walked out after a long 40min. We were not alone and as we talked to other people who had also walked out the feed back was the same. After reading concerts by candle light reviews I would not go to another as your better off watching a pub band.

Saw the Drifters at Chester Cathedral. Very poor sound. No one around us could understand what was being said or sung. They had sold tickets for seats that didn’t exist so there were people sitting in our seats as they had been told to sit anywhere when they discovered their seat didn’t exist.
