Pink Floyd by candlelight at Gloucester Cathedral. Band were good but where was the candlelight? Expected it to be much more atmospheric. Also, view obscured by the sound engineer who stood up for the entire performance. Did not deliver what was advertised. Probably won't go to one of these again.

Well, what can I say??? Extremely disappointed with the event we witnessed at Lichfield Cathedral on Friday 9th October. Fleetwood Mac by candlelight. The sound quality was extremely bad. We couldn’t hear the vocals clearly at all. Absolutely terrible. The male singers performed as if they were in a boy band. I asked a lady sitting next to me for her opinion on the event. She thought the same has me! We left about 45 mins into the show. Couldn’t see any candles at all. I won’t be attending these events again. That’s for sure.

I was really excited to attend Beatles by Candlelight at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin last Friday, but the experience was hugely disappointing. The sound quality was dreadful. I could barely hear the singers, and while I’m sure they have good voices, it was impossible to appreciate them. It felt as though there hadn’t been a proper soundcheck and they were trying to fix the sound as they went along. It completely ruined the experience, and I left during the interval. Having previously attended a Candlelight concert organised by a different company, with thousands of candles and beautiful music performed by string musicians - one of the most beautiful live music experiences I’ve ever had - I was expecting something special. Instead, the performance felt more like a wedding band trying to get the crowd going, with just a couple of barely noticeable candles and none of the atmosphere or elegance I had hoped for. The cathedral is a stunning venue, but the sound and style of the performance made this a very frustrating and disappointing evening.

Saw Voices of Valjean at Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral, it was a pity that the show didn't live up to the venue. Seating was very poor, uncomfortable, all on the same level which meant that unless you were in the front rows you couldn't see anything. Main artist loved the sound of his own voice and talked far too much instead of singing which was why people were there. Even talked over one of the other artists singing "Some Enchanted Evening", it turned out to be a rather disappointing evening.

Attended Mowtown concert Durham Cathedral Saturday evening 3rd October and left feeling really disappointed. Thought there would be some really good mowtown songs sang but unfortunately this was not the case. It was an expensive evening and we feel it was not worth it.

Disappointing evening at Bowie by candlelight Gloucester Cathedral. The band is probably ok but it was difficult to tell as the sound was so poor, very difficult/near impossible to hear what was being said or sung. So much reverb being used in an already reverberant venue! As for candles I think we had more on our granddaughters 3rd birthday cake.

Been to a couple of these events at Chester cathedral, however this particular one was quite frustrating from start to finish. Initially bought tickets for Navi (featuring Jennifer Batten) music of Michael Jackson in March 2025 for my daughter’s birthday. Concert should’ve been in May 2025. Received an email from ‘Gigantic’ the ticket providers just prior to the event stating that it would be postponed until 1st October 2026 due to Jennifer Battens tour schedule. That’s a 17 month delay. Gigantic do not provide refunds so we were stuck with the tickets. Approximately 3-4 months ago I received an email stating that Jennifer Batten would no longer be attending but that Navi would have someone else alongside him (no idea who this person was) so 1st October arrived and we managed to get seated inside the cathedral and ready for the concert to start only to be informed at the time of introduction that Navi was no longer going to be performing but that they managed to get Daniel Mushett would be singing instead 🤷🏻‍♀️🤨. Now give the guy some credit he was not too bad, however I purchased my tickets simply because it was Navi (picked by MJ himself) and also because Jennifer Batten was MJ’s original guitarist. Disappointing completely! Now the cathedral is a stunning building however the sound does become a bit muffled and distorted because of the building itself, as long as you can accept that then you will enjoy, but the seating does need to be chosen carefully, as there are areas that visibility is quite bad because of the pillar structures inside, they do provide screens down both sides to help with this but in my opinion they should maybe put a couple of screens at the back where you do struggle to see when people stand up to dance etc…if you aren’t able to stand aswell then you literally cannot see anything. As we have been to a couple of these already I don’t think we will bother again £56 to look at the back of someone’s head all evening…. Don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful setting but they could eliminate disappointment by just providing a couple more screens around to assist with this issue. Definitely this particular concert would only be a 5/10 for me

Sadly Eagles by Candlelight at Worcester was awful. Sound was terrible. Too quiet. Voices were not strong enough . Inaudible lyrics. The last straw was the female singer screeching through an Eagles song, that was simply too big for her. They lost the audience after 3 songs. We left at the interval.
