i never get the cash back you offer,

My complaint with Retailmenot is that I don't accumulate enough rewards within your timelines to ever get my money. All of my past rewards have been eaten up by your fees. What a rip off.

8/19 Update: I've since received my reward after the second communication. Their claim that they had no open tickets/issues during my timeframe doesn't mean it wasn't submitted. Perhaps their AI chatbot didn't actually submit it, perhaps it got ignored internally. How would I possibly know? My criticisms of customer support remain: a) There is no obvious way to reach human customer support, b) there is no email from the AI chatbot sent to customers proving a ticket number was created and routed, c) their response below about reporting inconsistent response times is not acceptable (communicate intent vs maximums CONSISTENTLY) and most importantly, d) customers should NOT have to reach out to prompt them to do any remaining verification steps (if they needed receipt verification from me, then why didn't they prompt me for it?). The whole customer support experience is just weak. ---- Original Review: I have had a pending reward since June that has yet to be paid out, despite this language for that transaction on their site: "[Retailer name] let us know you made a purchase. Your cash back reward of $XX.XX will be available for withdrawal on 06/28/2026." In early July, I submitted a request/ticket through their AI chatbot, and was told I would hear back from the review team in 2 business days. It's now a month later, and I've heard NOTHING. So I requested through their AI chatbot to speak with a representative, filled out the form it supplied, and the chatbot said I would hear back from the Customer Care team in 2 business days. I then see an email confirmation of the case number I've created, but this email says I will hear back in 5-7 business days. What? I thought it was 2 days. Which is it? After waiting for a month beyond my estimated approval date, I should not have to wait another week or more to *maybe* hear back from a human being about what's going on. There is zero ability on their site about how to contact their "Customer Care Team," so I'm not interested in a response from them that says something generic like "please reach out to our care team so we can fix this for you." There is no way to do so. I haven't seen a company that so completely lacks reasonable customer support in a long time. Very disappointing, and it absolutely feels like they're just sitting on pending rewards as long as possible to gain interest on it. Remember, Retailmenot has themselves stated on my Rewards page that the retailer has confirmed the purchase, so Retailmenot is the ONLY holdup at this point. I'll be taking my business elsewhere from here on out.

How hard is it to get my money back? This is ridiculous. I did a Wayfair for my air conditioner, which was 185 bucks. I should’ve got cash back on this. Give me my money back. This is ridiculous.

Endless spam. Google flags it as spam. I use a message filter to trash it before I see it

I’ve been a RetailMeNot user for years, but this experience completely changed my opinion of the service. I made a purchase after activating a cashback offer and followed the process as intended. The cashback was never credited, and when I reached out for support, I was told there was no record of activation. From that point on, it was nothing but copy-and-paste responses. No real investigation, no effort to review the transaction in good faith, just repeated scripted replies about tracking and eligibility. Even after escalating the issue through a BBB complaint, I received the same generic responses with no willingness to take accountability or offer a reasonable resolution. They claim manual payouts are possible, yet refuse to apply any discretion when their own system fails to track properly. I have never had this issue with other cashback services, which makes this even more frustrating. If the tracking fails, the customer is left with no support and no recourse. I’ve lost trust in this platform and will be using other cashback services going forward. If you’re expecting reliable cashback and actual customer service, I would strongly reconsider using RetailMeNot.

Just like several other customers they are prolonging my cash back for no reason whatsoever. I supposed to have received it yesterday. The representative name is Paige. She always ask me to verify the purchase after it has already been verified. I verified it today several times and she basically ignored me and didn't give me my cash back. Then i tried to submit a ticket over the web and was blocked. This company needs to be sued for bad business practices. Im also filing a complaint with Cfpb.Gov and my Attorney General. This is ridiculous.

let me try and be short to get to the point signed up for Verizon mobile and home Internet I was informed that I would receive a payment of $175 and a 75-day cashback offer on the 70th day. However, the offer has disappeared from my profile on the website. Using the customer service AI application available on the retail website, I was able to retrieve the tracking and account numbers. Despite providing correct information that matches my statements and what the customer support AI system acknowledged, I keep being told that I am providing incorrect details. Additionally, on the same day I activated a new phone and internet service through the RetailMeNot deal, but these transactions did not occur. It appears to be a misunderstanding or mistake, and I feel as though I am being unfairly portrayed as unreliable. The earliest available information they require is what I have provided, and I am prepared to report this issue via email. At this point, I am indifferent about the monetary aspect; my concern is the process itself. It seems as though they are collecting personal information without properly compensating users, effectively stealing data under the guise of legitimate offers. They appear to be dismissing any accountability and shifting blame onto the user, which I find unacceptable and unprofessional.
