This review based on my current purchase. I’ve been waited for more than 40days but my order still yet to receive till today. I found it was truly difficult to look for customer service who’s able to solve my frustrations promptly and couldn’t receive a satisfy solutions from colourpop. Right now still hanging, honestly first and last in my life.

I considered giving the 1-star rating but I got the solution I wanted and I actually like the products. In the middle of January I ordered two palettes worth $12, one worth $18, eye liner, lippie pencil, liquid lipstick and a Super Shock Shadow. It took over a month to have the package delivered to Europe but it shipped from Colourpop HQ quite fast. I ordered everything with a discount but customs declaration on the package showed the full price, so have that in mind if you’re planning to buy from them. Of course I’ve read many negative comments from customers about receiving damaged items or not receiving the full order so after waiting for over a month the disappointment was even bigger when it turned out that the $18 palette is missing from my order. But of course it was listed on the customs declaration and I paid $4,5 VAT for it. Immediately after opening the package I sent an email to Colourpop stating that I’m missing an item, I don’t want them to send a replacement because with all the fees it will cost way too much for what was supposed to be a quite cheap palette and I want a refund. I had to wait a week for a response. I got a message which stated that I got a store credit for $18 valid for 3 months but I was not satisfied with that as I’m not planning to purchase anything from their website again. I demanded a refund and I was ready to file a claim with my bank but, to my surprise, I got the refund as a ‘one time courtesy’. That statement was just a confirmation that I shouldn’t order from them again. On their website you can find that they don’t give refunds due to the low-cost nature of their products. And apparently it also applies to items that they fail to ship. Seems like Colourpop expects their customers to be fine with not getting what they paid for. This is absurd, I don’t know how is it even legal and I’m pretty sure this is one of the reasons they don’t have Europe-based distribution. I would like to see people bringing influencers’ attention to how bad Colourpop’s customer service is, because so far I haven’t heard anyone talking about it. And looks like this could be the only way to get Colourpop to change their ways.

I ordered the "In A Trance" and "Aura & Out" palettes and I was VERY disappointed in both of them. They were both EXTREMELY chalky and hard to work with. I also got the pressed powder blush in . It was OK. Not the greatest, but not the worst. I also got a super shock shadow and I do like that one. Thd rest of the order I could have done without.

I bought a bunch of eyeshadow palettes and a variety of lip formulas from Colourpop online, never expecting that NOTHING CAN BE RETURNED. I reached out to Colourpop with a question about my order, and heard nothing back. The quality of the merchandise is not so great that such poor customer service and business practices can be overlooked. In the future if I make any Colourpop purchases, they will be from Ulta where I can see the items in person and make a return as needed.

The only reason im giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the products actually arrived. My daughter had had issues with placing an order and her account was marked as a 'fraud risk' due to an issue with paypal dispite her long history of shopping with the brand. Her orders kept getting cancelled as soon as she placed them so I placed the order for her, this was prior to us getting informed that her account was now a 'fraud risk'. She waited over a month for any actual response from Colourpop telling her what was happening/if she'd be able to order again. She ended up having to constantly message through Colourpops website as they wouldnt respond to her emails with anything other than 'that order cannot be processed'. The order I placed went through on my end and we waited for shipping information which never came. I emailed the brand and did not get a response for over a week so I chased up the message. It took over a month from the date I placed my order to get any response from the brand and that was after mentioning going to paypal or consumer affairs as I hadn't received any shipping or tracking information for items that had been paid for or a reply to my original enquiry. The staff acted as if I was being impatient with international shipping times when all I wanted was conformation that the package had been shipped and tracking information.
