Would give 5 stars but...
from reading other people's experiences (not just on trustpilot), their customer service is incredibly inconsistent, which shouldn't be happening as they're a pretty well established brand at this point. I'm a UK customer and have ordered from there a few times now. Orders are normally dispatched 48 hours after being placed, and tracking takes 72 hours to update. Delivery is two-three weeks minimum, and I've had no issues with missing or broken products. In my opinion, the wait for it to clear Heathrow, customs and process through the sorting hub is what takes the longest (a week). Colourpop ship via USPS, and the tracking number you receive can also be used on Royal Mail's/Parcelforce's website, which makes it a lot easier to trace (USPS are notoriously bad at updates). You do have to pay a custom charge to get your parcel, which is set by HMRC and nothing to do with Colourpop. This includes a flat rate £8 handling fee and 20% VAT of the total cost of your parcel, including delivery. This is displayed on their website before you checkout, in their FAQ and delivery information section. You have to pay this fee no matter where you order from if your parcel value is over £15 (including delivery), so I don't see the point of these one star reviews that are basically mad at the law lol. A little tip though: keep an eye out for when they offer free worldwide shipping. If you place multiple orders with only 1-3 items in each (keeping the value under $20ish depending on exchange rate), you don't have to pay anything on arrival. That's when I tend to stock up! So far I've only had one issue: I placed an order on 31/12 and it was dispatched 02/01. After a week, it hadn't updated at all and tracking still said my parcel had to be picked up from their warehouse. I found out that when an item arrives at Heathrow, the sender and their shipping service are no longer held responsible if it goes missing, so I tried to find out if Royal Mail were holding it, but apparently my item didn't exist, ergo it hadn't arrived in the UK, let alone shipped. Colourpop's faq say they only consider parcels missing after 21 business days (weekdays), and can't help until then. However USPS recommend contacting the seller if there has been no change in tracking after 10 business days. On the 16/01 I emailed customer service and explained the situation as described above, and asked if it there was a system glitch because my Kylie Cosmetics order was going through the same thing, while other orders shipped via USPS and from California - which were all placed a week later - had already arrived. They responded the next day, with no explanation, but apologised and said they'd send a replacement. They shipped my second order the next day (18/01), and it arrived at my door today (23/01) - that's three business days, with no customs as it was a replacement! I was so impressed, I honestly came here to give them five stars for that alone, but reading through I can see others in the same position haven't been as lucky. I can only really recommend that you pay via paypal as a precaution, as you can dispute the charge a lot more easier.
