Ignoring Your Customers Will Make Us Go Away
The products keep this review from being no stars (whether I can do that or not is irrelevant to my point). The products are great, which is unfortunate because that means I will want to buy them again. However, the horrendous customer service has sworn me off ColourPop's website. Maybe I will buy what products they have in stores, but I will not be ordering direct from them ever again. I received the wrong order in a package addressed to me, and if it hadn't been for a review on their Facebook page, ColourPop would have left the issue unaddressed (based on the fact it took over a week to get any sort of response other than a confirmation that my Customer Service request was received). I wanted to return the order I received and get my items. I wanted the items by a certain time which ColourPop refused to accommodate. However, the fact they finally got to me was relief enough, I found a decent dupe with Makeup Revolution and the timing issue was less so. After the strife I went through for an email, they should have been more willing to show some sort of remorse, but I'll overlook it. They're an international corporation, they know nothing of feelings. As I mentioned before, I sent requests and a follow up and received nothing until I posted a less than favorable review on their public Facebook page. It says a great deal when a company does not make the effort until it becomes a PR issue. Apparently this is an ongoing (past few years) issue with their only-in-name Customer Service. If it is a staffing issue or the way their Customer Service center is organized then they need to stop ignoring the issue (and their customers) and do something productive. Once someone got to me they were very nice and helpful, but the time and effort it took just to get someone to respond (because someone from their Social Media Department reached out to them) makes it a moot point. Do better.
