Great price points and innovative items…
Great price points and innovative items make Colourpop a safe and fun way to explore new cosmetic ground. Good to great products for the most part and wonderfully affordable price points. I can experiment with an online or in store purchase and not feel the need to return if it doesn't work out perfectly. (I just bought more colourpop items this past Saturday) Areas of improvement: 1. Rreal swatches on real skin. With duo chromes, multi glitters, jelly, pressed powder, super shock, matte, ultra blotted, etc, the styles really need swatches on models to represent how they look. For some of the items, a short video of the arm moving, to show off the duo chrome or pearlesance, woudl be amazing 2. Realistic color swatches - what is seen on the site often does not match what is received. 3. Allow for a side by side comparison: if you could select some colourpop items and then view them in a chart or grid, that would be very helpful. 4. Transparency in ingredients and what it means. Those pressed glitters should not be used around the eyes, but then models are shown wearing them. Pressed pigments have a place here, too. Emphasize the use of primers or glitter glue. Or make some quality ones of your own to sell. While this note is full of suggestions for change, know that I love Colourpop. I've tried some of the SOL and Fourth Ray items, but I'm really serious about my skin care so Fourth Ray can't really compete, from what I've seen and the ingredients I've read (fragrance in skin care = baaaad). And SOL, while a fun idea, is so messy. I think it's really directed at tweens and such..
