Let's face it. The college application/admissions process can be daunting. Working with Collegewise, Jordan Kanarek in particular, made the process much less stressful and helped to organize the steps involved, which allowed me to step back. Jordan emphasized the importance of researching and creating a well-rounded list of schools, which was incredibly valuable. Jordan was extremely attentive; he responded to any correspondence immediately. He was warm and cared about my daughter's stress levels as well as the work that needed to be done. Ultimately, my daughter has been accepted into the school (an Ivy) she has dreamed about most of her life. We will be forever grateful, and we'll truly miss him!

As a Parent trying help their kids to navigate an increasingly challenging and rapidly changing college admissions process, we were above and beyond, delighted with Nicole Pilar’s guidance, counsel, empathy and strong direction to help both our daughters. Not only did both get into several of their top choice schools, they both learned about what is truly important in choosing the right fit school, thanks to Nicole’s dedication and passion for her work which is centered around being a helpful and easy to talk to mentor to our children. Our engagement over the past 6 years with Nicole and Collegewise has been an exceptional return on investment. I would strongly recommend her and Collegewise.

Nikayla just made the entire application process so much easier both for our daughter and us. Nikayla didn't just rattle off a list of colleges based on stats that matched my daughter. She listened to what was important to my daughter and made recommendations based on that. In fact, my daughter's ED1 school is one that Nikayla suggested and the one she will be attending. Nikayla went beyond what a college counselor typically does. She got to know my daughter and learned what was triggering for her. She then worked with my daughter in a way that helped my daughter flourish through the process rather than getting bogged down in all the pressure. My husband and I were so surprised how calm our house was while she was applying. And Nikayla was always available to answer any of my questions and to hear my input. Nikayla is kind and empathetic, but she also tells it like it is when she has to. My daughter respected her and felt she had someone on her side who understood what she was going though. I can't say enough wonderful things about Nikayla. Nikayla is a person who you want in your corner when you are going through this grueling process!

Jon Tarella has been working with my high school aged son for the last 2 years. Jon is intelligent, personable and a very effective tutor. My son has had several tutors and Jon is his favorite. Jon also provides thorough periodic summaries of my son's performance that are very helpful to us. I highly recommend Jon.

I’ve been using Jon for about a little over a year I believe and he’s been the most helpful and convertible tutor I’ve ever had. Very professional and smart as well as a great conversationalist. I appreciate all he’s helped me with throughout High School and highly recommend.

We felt compelled to write a review for Jon Tarella, who worked with our son for the past 2 years as his math tutor as well as his ACT math tutor. Jon completely clarified and simplified all the intense math concepts for our son, patiently and clearly walking him through the steps of algebra, pre-calc as well as all ACT math prep. He not only helped with math skills, but he was adept at building our son's confidence in his own math abilities. Jon provided great pointers and straightforward steps each week that were constructive and not overwhelming. Jon also provided us parents with deep insight as to what our son could do going forward, his progress and how he thought things would be going. The lines of communication were incredible, but most importantly he had a fantastic way of connecting (via remote zoom) which is a feat unto itself. We would highly recommend him to tutor anyone in math!

Working with John Tarella was truly amazing and I learned so much in our sessions. We met frequently and I can confidently say that I would have been much worse off going into my exams without his techniques and general help in preparing me.

My junior year of high school I worked with Jon Tarella for my AP Physics C course. The year prior I had only taken honors physics and Jon did a great job at adapting to my skill set to help me with the new content that was in Physics C. Jon a terrific tutor: he was super helpful, patient, and great at helping me visualize problems despite being over zoom. Not only did he help me figure out how to get a certain answer, but he would also help me understand why it was that certain result. I would highly recommend Jon's tutoring to any student that is looking to improve their scores and understand their subject matter fully.
