We had an amazing experience with Collegewise, and having Nicole Pilar as our counselor is a pure blessing!! Every meeting she has with my daughter, she makes sure to check in to see how life is and what her stress levels are to make sure my daughter is good mentally and emotionally before jumping into the tasks. Nicole helped my daughter find a major of interest, refine her list of schools, advise us when we did school tours, helped with applications by reaching out to colleges for clarifications, etc. Nicole is not only very resourceful, but she is also passionate with her work and always brings positive energy and encouragement to my daughter. Through the years, Nicole got to know my daughter really well and she serves a sounding board to my daughter during the decision making process, reminding her what she was looking for colleges 2 years ago. I feel like Nicole is more of a trusted family friend than a counselor to us and we are forever grateful for her.

Astrid was the greatest person I could’ve had as a college counselor. By the end of our college hunting season, we would spend a lot of our meeting time just talking about life, she became a great friend for me which made the college hunting process so much easier because I knew she truly cared where I would end up. She did a fantastic job and I would absolutely recommend anyone I come across to go to her

Jon was an amazing AP Chem tutor for my daughter. She told me that he can explain convoluted topics with such clarity that they just click and that his analogies are always on point. Plus, she said he’s really funny! Additionally, he sends detailed monthly emails to me, letting me know how my daughter is performing, as well as what she can be working on. He really is a spectacular tutor, and overall a great person!

Jonathan Tarella is the best math tutor I have ever worked with. I've seen Jon for just about everything from Trigonometry to my college Linear Algebra class. He does a phenomenal job of breaking down the fundamentals, ensuring the student understand how a problem works, and explaining how to approach similar problems in the future. I went from an ok student to having straight A's my senior year and now have a 3.9 GPA in college while studying engineering. Could not recommend Jonathan Tarella more!

Had a great experience with Jon Tarella when learning AP / college-level math and physics concepts. Jon provides a great foundational teaching of core concepts, which has helped tremendously on assignments and tests. He really helps get to the root of the problems and teaches you how to work through them analytically and thoughtfully.

Collegewise - and Joel Ontiveros specifically - have definitely been a great asset. Joel was truly interested in our goals as a family. He was very helpful in guiding our son to select a solid college list and present his best application, resulting in his acceptance to many colleges that offered what we were looking for. Joel was very knowledgeable and enjoyable to work with. By handing the process and "to do" list over to him, it allowed my husband and I to focus on being supportive instead of adding to our son's stress. We look forward to Joel's help with our youngest.

Our counselor Sam was a perfect fit for our son, Will. As a student with many interests but no decision on a major, Sam worked with Will to identify how his interests might turn into a major, and how they could work on building a list of schools that might be right for him even without that. Sam is incredibly detail-oriented and provided wonderfully informative updates for us each time she met with Will, complete with action-items, deadlines and lots of encouragement! Sam made this exhausting process much more tolerable, and we never had to worry that we were missing something with Sam on our team. Finally, Sam is just a truly kind person who is just perfectly cut out for this line of work. Thanks to Sam, Will found his "fit" and we couldn't have done it without her!! Thank you Sam!!

Jon is amazing tutor who helped me prepare for the math/science sections of the ACT. He is friendly, caring, and talented at explaining difficult concepts in an accessible manner. Can't recommend him enough!
