I've used tutors for my 4 sons on & off for years, but Jonathan Tarella at Collegewise has been the best. He is beyond smart, but there's more to him then just brains. He GETS your kid. He's able to relate to your child. He has the ability to connect, so with that, trust is built and learning is possible. My boys also thought he was great too. My youngest had a terrible teacher one semester but learned everything he needed from Jon. Jon is great with advanced Math and Science. He helped a son out via Zoom with a college Chemistry class. For my family, Jon has tutored SAT/ACT Math, Calc, Chemistry, Pre-Calc etc.. For me, he has provided detailed email updates that include not just summaries, but suggestions that support his sessions. Jon has shared helpful insight if there were a specific problem in school. Jonathan also was very accommodating with his schedule. He often moved our appointments around before a test, looking for ways to make the time spent most productive. Finally, he's a terrific person and all around nice guy, as my boys and I have gotten to know him over the years (since 2017).

I’ve worked with Jonathan for SAT math, AP Calculus AB, College Calculus, and College Biology over the past few years. I truly can’t think of any complaints. First, Jon is a personable person who makes connections with his students and learns their strengths/weaknesses. He takes thorough notes while going over things and writes helpful recap emails to help cement what we went over. The results of my AP exam and SAT test proved how helpful he was, as both scores exceeded my personal expectations. If you’re looking to improve your grades/test scores in any math-related topic, no need to look no further.

Collegewise has been helping us navigate the college application process and everyone has been A+. Jon Tarella and Bob Kupellian have done an excellent job tutoring my daughter in APs, SATs and general coursework. She has achieved top scores with their guidance. Laura Cavanaugh has also provided excellent guidance throughout.

Overall, working with Collegewise was a great experience! My college counselor, Matt Doyle, was a vital asset when it came time to apply to colleges. I never felt behind in any of the process because of the schedule that was set for me, and there was a lot of time spent one on one brainstorming on my essays. Matt and I got to know each other a lot in this process, and his ability to understand who I was and what I wanted really helped in the process!

I worked with Jon, and he was by far the best tutor I have ever had. His breaks everything down to a simple level and explains everything thoroughly, so you can understand the entire concept rather than just memorizing. He tutored me in AP Physics, and it was insanely helpful. I did very well in the class, and I owe it all to Jon

Collegewise has been helping me throughout my junior year with SATs, classwork, and the college application process. Jon Tarella was my math tutor for AP Statistics, Precalculus, AP Calculus BC, and the SAT math section. It was overall a great experience having him as my tutor and he helped me get an 800 in the math section is the SAT. Jon also helped me prepare for the AP Stat exam and earn a 5. He is also really positive and often cracks jokes during tutoring sessions, relieving some of the pressure.

Jon tutored my daughter over this past year in AP Statistics. She started the year off getting D's and C's on the tests, so I quickly enlisted Jon's help. He brought her up to B's on tests. He explained the topics clearly, made notes for her, and had her practice similar problems ensuring success. He was able to find her weaknesses and focus on those as well. He sent me monthly emails letting me know how she is progressing and giving tips to help her succeed. Jon is a great tutor, confidently knows the material, and has helped my daughter immensely.

Tanner is so baller he raised my scores by 5 points and makes tutoring fun.
