Absolutely shocking. I was charged £10 for just one scoop of ice cream – completely ridiculous. On top of that, the staff were rude and dismissive when I questioned the price. The place itself was dirty and uninviting, definitely not somewhere I’d return to or recommend. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.

Who knows where those hands where ?
While we were waiting for our order to be finished I noticed the our worker making multiple stakes of waffle bowls. The whole time I was watching him ( by the way he saw me watching him) he had no food service gloves on!!! Nor did I see any!!! I’m glad we didn’t order a waffle bowl! Who knows what else is unsanitary at this location! So not going back ! Ever! Wyomissing Reading Pa. Location.

**Review Coldstone
**Review: A Sweet Birthday at Cold Stone – A Theatrical Delight**
**Rating: ★★★★☆**
In the charming short play "A Sweet Birthday at Cold Stone," a family’s everyday outing to an ice cream parlor is transformed into a heartwarming and sensory-rich experience. The production delivers on its promise to evoke nostalgia and celebration, with a setting as rich and inviting as the desserts themselves.
The play opens with the family entering the colorful Cold Stone Creamery, where the set design instantly immerses the audience in a world of sugary delight. The backdrop features oversized posters of ice cream flavors, vibrant and almost cartoonish in their allure, perfectly capturing the childlike wonder of choosing a favorite treat. The scent of caramel, vanilla, and freshly baked cones is subtly incorporated into the atmosphere, as though wafting through the theater, creating an immersive sensory experience.
At the heart of the play is a birthday celebration for the son, who is turning nine. The actors portraying the family deliver a believable, endearing dynamic, especially the father, who narrates their journey with a tone of warmth and reflection. His appreciation for the little details—the aesthetic of the ice cream posters, the swift-moving line, and the friendly staff—sets the stage for a positive and uplifting experience.
One of the most delightful elements of the production is the interaction between the son and the Cold Stone staff. The workers are portrayed with a level of politeness and enthusiasm that feels almost magical, making the birthday boy’s choices of extra chocolate—Twix and Snickers for his milkshake—an exciting and thoughtful moment. The actors playing the Cold Stone employees strike a balance between professional and playful, engaging the young boy in a way that feels both natural and celebratory.
The pacing of the play mirrors the efficiency of the Cold Stone staff, as the line moves swiftly, and each character has just enough time to shine. While the father reflects on the service as “exceptional,” the audience is drawn into his genuine enjoyment of the experience, making us feel as though we, too, are part of this sweet family moment.
Where the play excels is in its simplicity. It doesn’t attempt to overcomplicate a relatable, everyday experience, yet it elevates it through its rich descriptions and focus on family. The only critique, perhaps, is that the narrative could have lingered a bit more on the birthday celebration itself—the moment when the son finally gets his perfect milkshake feels a tad rushed. A bit more focus on this pivotal point would have provided a greater emotional payoff.
Overall, "A Sweet Birthday at Cold Stone" is a feel-good theatrical piece that captures the joy of family, the excitement of small celebrations, and the magic of something as simple as an ice cream outing. It’s a delightful experience for both children and adults, leaving the audience craving not just dessert, but more feel-good moments like this.
**Verdict:**
A charming, flavorful slice of life that warms the heart like a fresh waffle cone filled with your favorite ice cream.

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT
I am an elderly disabled hard of hearing person. I called the store at 12:00 to inquire if they had a certain item in stock before I made an online order so I didn’t waste my time. The person who answered the phone would not speak above a whisper. After asking several times for him to please speak up I asked for a manger. He said no, I then asked to be transferred to a different employee, he then hung up on me. I called back and asked his name, I think he said Amir. When I asked him to speak louder he hung up on me AGAIN!!! tried calling back several times and went straight to voice mail. I found out my number was blocked because I used a different phone and got right through. When I got through I immediately asked for a manager. After hesitantly giving me what they said was a manager I very politely asked for HER NAME. She asked what the problem was as I wanted to tell her about my earlier experience. I again just said may I please know who am I speaking to, she then again said what’s the problem, I once more asked for her name, her next response was “WHAT ARE YOU R-T—R-E” and proceeded to HANG UP ON ME AND QUICKLY BLOCK MY HUSBANDS NUMBER AS WELL. When I called the complaint line they of course would not give me the name of the owner or the general manager. Never being told the name of the so called manager I can’t properly report HER and it will be easy for her to deny the allegations unless the call was recorded. If I knew I WAS GOING TO BE CALLED THAT VILE DISGUSTING SLUR I WOULD HAVE RECORDED THE CALL MY SELF. So here we have the Cold stone in Kentlands MD who has employees who refuse to help someone who is hard of hearing and a manager who was on duty on June 21 at 1:00 who refuses to give her name, CALLS A CUSTOMER VILE SLURS, HANGS UP ON CUSTOMER AND THEN BLOCKS PHONE NUMBERS. I WANT ALL OF GAITHERSBURG TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF EMPLOYEES WORK HERE AND TO NEVER ENTER THIS ESTABLISHMENT AND GIVE THEM ANY BUSINESS. I AM SHAKING AND CRYING TO BE CALLED SUCH A FOUL DISGUSTING SLUR. I SERIOUSLY CANNOT BELIEVE IT.
I want this store called out publicly for HORRIBLE EMPLOYEES AND MANAGEMENT
Follow up: I was told by general manager that she was having a bad day. WHAT? A bad day, no matter what kind of day I have ever had that word wouldn’t even be in my vocabulary. She told me employee was let go only to find out a little while later that was a lie. So yes they still have employees calling their customers that vile disgusting slur, all this because I asked her name!!

Screw cold stone
Screw cold stone. They’re mad stingy and overcharged the hell out of my small chocolate peanut butter. There’s absolutely no reason a small ice cream cone should be 10$. Never going back again. I’m starting g a petition to shut down coldstone nation wide. Please support. Venmo Joshua-Guerriero-1 all proceeds go to paying my enermous for this experience.

Muskegon (Norton Shores) very dirty inside, got sick
Visted the Norton Shores, Michigan store on Henry. Noticed the ice cream glass cabinet had excessive hand prints like it had not been washed in weeks. Also, the top of the display had a layer of grease and dust. So much dust and grease that a finger could write out clearly a date and request to be cleaned. Later, 3 of us 4 got sick and this was the only thing that was common between us that we all ate that day. Also, the mop board tiles are broken. It smells burnt inside. The place is just dirty and needs better management. Next time I will go to the frozen yogurt place across the street. Cold Stone Creamery in Muskegon (Norton Shores) Michigan is NASTY DIRTY!!!!

Unacceptable Customer Service at Cold…
Unacceptable Customer Service at Cold Stone @your outlet 1201 Half St SE#133 Washington DC 20003
"I had a horrific experience at this Cold Stone franchise today. The staff member who assisted me was incredibly rude and disrespectful. When I was trying to decide on an order, she snapped at me, saying I should know what I want instead of wasting their time. Things only got worse from there. When I asked her name, she refused to tell me and literally told me to leave the store, saying customers like me weren't needed. I was shocked and humiliated by her behavior. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of any confusion or questions I may have. Cold Stone needs to address this kind of behavior and train their staff to provide decent customer service. Until then, I'll be taking my business (and my ice cream cravings) elsewhere." I know that you don’t care like your employees
