It may be 'code anywhere', but surely not 'code any time'... IDE is super slow and I'm all the time experiencing technical issues that are affecting my projects. I am facing deadlines and cannot even access my workspace.

I am a previous, numerous year subscriber to Codeanywhere but cancelled a couple years back due to company restrictions. I attempted to resubscribe using their in-house credit card form but the system declined my payment 4 seperate times over the course of a couple hours. I then used PayPal payment option and it worked perfectly. The next day I notice I was billed all 4 attempts to my credit card, even though the Codeanywhere control panel said it was declined and didn't activate my account. I reached out to their support staff explaining the problem and requesting the refund then literally got the response, "You're account is activated whats the problem?". I explained everything 1 more time in my response and have not received a reply in 10+ days. I now have to open a chargeback and dispute all 4 transactions because of this company's lack of support and functionality. Additionally they lost me as a subscriber. I would suggest avoiding Codeanywhere as Atom IDE with the Remote Editor plugin is completely free and also works very well.

They used to offer a wide variety of preconfigured installations or I could reliably install whatever I wanted on a generic container, but recently the offerings are sharply limited and flexibility to install is curtailed. This is no longer useful. Thinking it might be a memory issue, I upgraded my plan to try a larger container but the problem persisted. Within a day I had figured out that it wasn't going to work for me and closed the account and requested a refund of my upgrade fee (well within their refund window). They initially confirmed a refund would be forthcoming, but when nothing happened they said the person responsible was away for a few days but that it would happen soon. Now, almost a month past the original charge I have yet to receive any refund and they are no longer responding to inquiries. Update: Posting to trustpilot does get their attention and a refund was finally posted. Let's add one star to their review in recognition and five stars for trustpilot :)

Amazing support.

Due to a change in circumstances, I've not been using CodeAnywhere. They send no notification that the renewal is approaching (unlike more professional companies, some that give multiple warns 3 months in advance). I contacted them as soon as I realised they'd renewed. They cancelled the renewal and the service I'd just been charged for, but now refuse to issue a refund! So now I'm in a situation where I don't have the service they collected the renewal for - they've effectively just stolen the money from me! [further to posting this, CodeAnywhere decided that they could make the refund after all! So if you experience the same problem, don't give up - maybe draw attention to the issue and maybe they'll stop bullying customers]

I've used Codeanywhere for years and recently switched jobs where using it for my work would no longer be viable. They sent no receipt of payment or reminder that my account would be renewed, but withdrew the money all the same. Not a problem I thought, but their policy is no refunds after 7 days of creating the account (not making a payment) and because I've used the service for several years, I'm now out that money. Very dissapointed.

Codeanywhere is a great services. It enables me to work remotely without any worry. Additionally, it is nice to be able to edit files on my servers from a a nice GUI editor rather than sshing in and using the a command line editor.

codeanywhere helps me alot coding from different devices through the day. the web editor is connected via ssh to my server and allows me to perform code changes very quick on the go. also this editor works on devices where i dont have enough permissions to install an editor or ide. code completion could be a bit better but thats usually not a problem when changing only small parts.
